I realize this weekend is the Pittsburgher with a big race for the Penn/Ohio Pro Stocks.  I'll be up at Thunder Mountain for the first time.  What do you think the turnout will be like?

In my experiences with both track neither draws each others cars often.  Both I think will have good races.

well that me think about this for a little bit. Pittsburgh has Lucas Oil late model for a 100 laps plus rush crate for a 30 lap race plus Willie White race for 25 laps.and all the B Mains  for all 3. OK i thought about it. I will spend $75.00 for that show any day.

i cant imagine how long it would take to run a 100 laps with late models.... from what i seen they average about 5 minutes a lap with the amount of cautions the provide

Last year's race only had 5 cautions. One for debris. Went by quickly.

I doubt anyone with half a chance to qualify for the Pittsburgher would be at Thunder Mountain, and not a lot of cars that follow the Penn Ohio, ran TM weekly, so I doubt it will effect much.  Good shows at both tracks no doubt

PPMS has lights and an American flag. TMS has neither.

the track surface was nice, I'd say they did a good job there.  Other than that, they ran a poor show.  They would change the running order on the fly and not say anything.  They waived hot laps yesterday for everyone except the supers and never said anything.  It was our first time there so we had some questions on rules, transponders, etc. and every official I asked never had a clue.  That's not even the worst of it, there was a power hungry old dude on a quad that bitched at us for every little thing (your trailer's up too far, your car's in the way, you can't have any personal vehicles in the pits, can't fire you motor until this time, etc, etc).  It was a two hour haul for us, so needless to say, I don't think we will be back anytime soon.

What division did you race in?

The only time you can't have your motor fired is during the National Anthem.

Street Stock....and it was certainly not during the National Anthem, I have to fire the car to get it out of the hauler and got bitched at for doing so.  We had to struggle to push it out, then we got bitched at because no one could register until we were out of the pits....just one thing after another..
