I don't think it is funny, or very bright to put negative crap like this on social media. Every track in the area is struggling; childish posts do noting to promote the image of the track.  Why not put some effort into helping instead of tearing down?

Just what is it that people want them to do ? It is no secret, the current owner is trying to get out, he has gone thru a full season. He is trying to minimize his losses. I hope that he can find a buyer for the track. The negative comments on social media make no sense. If your a fan of dirt track you should be concerned about the future of some of the tracks in and around western pa. Tri City went to a limited schedule this year. There future is totally unknown. How many times has a supposedly buyer been in place for ppms. Nobody is jumping in to buy a racetrack.

A few times actually, but the Miley's won't sell! There are people out there buying tracks but the owners typically want more than what they're worth.

In all honesty for as big as that track is, youd spend way more fixing it up then building a new one.

Bill Altman has no interest in selling mercer. I've heard from many people that he has backed out on two separate deals to sell the track this year.

From what I have heard, Altman doesn't want to hold the mortgage himself and those perspective buyers have not been able to get bank financing.  This info is unconfirmed, so keep that in mind.

The many people you heard from don't know what they are talking about. Nobody with the money to buy the track has come forward to buy it. Bill would sell the track in a heartbeat if a competent buyer comes forward. He will not hold the mortage and finance the track for somebody. He did that when he sold his trucking company. The deal went bad and he got burned big time.
