I heard there will be an awards banquet for 2016. It will be held at the local Arby's from 2pm to 5pm (Happy Hour when everything is $1.00). Menu consists of value shakes, value drinks, sliders, small fries, and apple pie for dessert.
why does everything you comment on here always have to have a smartass negative reply?

So another track may have closed the doors ? Hopefully in the long term it helps other speedways. If the racer and fan continues on they will have to. It has been said many times, only the strong will survive in what has become to many tracks and not enough cars and fans to go around.

To my knowledge Thunder Mountain doesn't bother to send press releases out to the media!! At least I have never gotten one!!

Thunder Mountain ran on Friday's.
Dog Hollow also ran mostly on Friday's until i'd guess Football started then switched to mostly Saturday's.
Marion Center appears to run Saturday's.
With two out of the three tracks opting to race on mostly on Friday my guess is both felt Marion Center located a half hour from each track and between both is their main competition. My guess is both also felt they could not compete for fans with Marion Center.
With three tracks within an hours drive from each other out away from high population areas and two of them racing on Friday's, I don't see how both Friday night tracks can survive.
Marion Center was built in 1965, Dog Hollow in 1998 and Thunder Mountain in 2005 when racing was in it's last hay day. Shortly after 2005, the continuing failure of the economy at the end of the Bush administration took hold and racing began it's decline.
Today racing because of a change shifting our economy towards the people by the Obama administration our economy and racing is on a rise. I think most except those who use and abuse the labor of everyday people, today can look back and say they are better off in 2016 then they were in 2005.
Skip all the bull and think back to 2005, if your doing better or as well as you were in 2005 when all the cut this and that for everyday workers to include health care started by the money brokers, you need to vote to continue on a path for the people.
My mind still isn't sure if Trump is more towards a times past "shot and a beer" conservative democrat then Clinton. I still don't know which to vote for come Tuesday. Trump is a scare to vote for. Especially since beyond all the bull things have been steadily improving, even with how republican control is continuing to rape everyday people by concentrating wealth with fewer and fewer.
Tough decision Tuesday, vote for a BS blowhard or vote to continue on how things are now. I might take a chance with Trump, but I'm not sure. The fight for regular people is not with either candidate, it's with the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about. My fear with voting for Trump is if he wins as soon as the election is over, he'll crawl back in bed with his buddies and the people will endure another decline the same as with Reagan and Bush.
