Did you ever watch utube movies made about micheal Schumacher and arynton senna?
And how they came up through the racing ranks?
Watch them and tell me if you notice what I noticed about the levels to get toF1 in Europe

Hey Dirtstudent

No I have not watched any.
My hero F1 drivers were from an earlier era.
Jimmy Clark comes to mind and even then I was more interested in setup and quality then the excitement of what happened on the track. I once got to watch Colin Chapman fine tune/tweak the webers with a velocity gauge on Jimmy's Lotus. I've also been to Hockenheim and walked the track where Jimmy Clark died. I've been to Lemans and Nurburgring too. I forget who said way back when that when tragedy happens it's time to hit the go pedal or something like that.
Never thought about F1 drivers coming up through the ranks. I think way back it was about survival and pecking order then coming through the ranks.
