Nobody cares about the Big Blocks. We want the late models back at The Chiller Thriller as it has been for many many years up until last year.

Yeah, they should because there are simply not enough options over the course of the season to watch Late Models anywhere in the Tri-State area.

He's not wrong in that modifieds don't really draw the biggest crowd in western PA. You're not wrong in that there are plenty of options to watch late models during the season. Also, those late model races tend to be at tracks much better suited to them than Mercer.

I think it's great Mercer for 2017 has put stability into it's offering.  At $85 for a ten pack, I can't get my money out fast enough for 2 Ten packs.

The only sad thing I see is because I read on their site:  "Please note that these advance sale offers will be good for every racing event in the 2017 season except the Auto Racers for Kids charity program."

Because of tickets only being not good for the charity show, I figure there's no chance of an Allstar Show there this year.  If there is fantastic I'm in the front gate for $8.50.

They have always charged the difference in price from the discount ticket to the special show price. If they would stay consistent with that I consider the offer.

Yeah, it's really no big deal and the fact is if they do have an Allstar show this year I'd be happy to pay the difference.

But the important question, and I'm semi-serous, will they run the Jack Frost in January where it belongs.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

i find it very encouraging when I look at the response to this post ,even though there were only 27 written responses the other side of the coin is at least 3300 others read it.

This would indicate that many more are in support of Mercer Raceway Park and want to see it stay a vital part of the racing world in Western Pa. ,in addition to the numbers the content of the majority of responses were not negative again a base to build from for the future.

Thank you Racing family

I know I absolutely want Mercer to stay open.  I don't get there often, and this year it was due to a schedule conflict with work and the earlier start time.

I really hope they run the Jack Frost in January again this year.  I love the novelty of it.

While I admire your optimism, I'd hesitate to claim a causal relationship between views and support of the subject matter.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

Glad to see the all star date. will undoubtebly be one of the best all start races to see. I think the all star management understands that and maybe worked with Mercer to continue on.

Super!  That's enough for me to see 2017 is business as usual.

And the new split format for me was a good business as usual program.
