This use to be a great board for news, rumors, and fun times. Bring back the legend, turkey_sub and all the others who use to make the off season go by a bit quicker.

The people you mentioned chased off the people who actually wanted to talk racing.

Heck 4m commuted HuckTyson's (aka the legend) sentence.

Seen him back posting there unless someone hijacked his screen name.

WOW!!! I guess Gerald Newton saw the hits were down. It is hard to SELL advertisements for a site when ratings are low. Gotta pump them up to make $$$$

The people you mentioned chased off the people who actually wanted to talk racing.

This is exactly what happened.  When I joined in 2002, there was "race talk" on here 24/7, in season and out of season. Gradually, because of all the childish silliness which took over, very few of those posters can be found here anymore.  How do I know?  I asked many of them who are my friends and that was their reply.

Arguments are entertaining and there is only so much race talk to be talked about. I use to come here 10 times a day and now once a week. First was to read the race talk and the other 9 to be entertained by a few posts that took a turn from the original conversation. But I'm not the only one who frequently read those posts. Everyone did. And they did it multiple times a day. They just don't want to admit it.

Instead of some indulging in conversation those individuals feel it to be easier in telling people. You a idiot, you don't have any idea, and so on and so on. Everyone on here has as much right to comment as the next guy. Most are tired of the insults. Me personally, I laugh at the comments thrown at me. Some read the various posts but do not want to comment because of the backlash. It's been said many times and it will continue, those few will ruin it for all and they for some reason take pride in it. I would like to see more moderators so that they can delete many of the crude remarks. Ban them. Some say they'll just sign on under a different screen name. Fine, the moderators can control the situation.

And when I started to read this board, their was FULL Fields in EVERY division at EVERY track on a Friday or Saturday night. Like Lm Racing said, I use to check this board a ton everyday to have a good laugh and talk serious racing talk. Times have changed and with more people getting out of the sport due to costs what do YOU want to talk about in the off season Flash49??

BDLM use to be a fun, informative message board also,..... till the Trolls overran it.  Don't know what you can do about it.  Pick and choose what you take seriously I guess.

Anything racing-related is fine with me.  You've missed my point, however.  Even on Friday nights after Lernerville is finished or any of the other tracks for that matter, no one wants to talk about the races anymore. Too many just want to insult the other posters, and if that floats your boat, be my guest.

I go with flash49 & jo73!!   We didn't need some of those yo-yos that kept getting nasty all the time!!   And I agree that seldom do you see anyone make mention of a great race a driver ran or the great show they saw at some track.  Only the BAD stuff and their complaints!!!    Sometimes complaints are needed, but when it gets that just about all the posts are of that nature, it runs off the more serious posters!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!

I'm more turned off on this site anymore. Before you were able to get a lot of useful racing related  topics. Now,  i don"t deal with all the crap on here. I"ll just read the posts on racing and skip the other posts, and keep my thoughts to myself. It"s ok to disagree but it is not ok to belittle someone. Show some respect.

As one who has had my criticisms, I try to keep them reasonable, and to point out that we do have some of the best dirt track racing in the country--week in-week out, and multiple good tracks.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

this is a great point!!  As my primary hobby(DLM racing),  it is almost worth it sometimes to let these Trolls have their fun,  if I can peel some info and insight from the rest of the posters.  Maybe get in a good debate,  its fun.    Trouble is,  a lot of knowledgable and insightful people won't participate.  One bad apple...........

Racing goes hand and hand with the rest of the world. All a bunch of cry babies that cant keep there noses out of everybody else's business. Nobody wants to earn it anymore, they either want to buy it or take from others. How can you have an intelligent conversation with people of this nature.

There you Go !

Go ahead and pound a couple boards and you wont feel that way ..

AND at $14 per hour you will have the Potential for 100 grand ! Says so right there !

Free Beans and Tortias included!

PS I like the Purdy in car clips !  They do a great job with the videos and for their sponsors!

I have been saying it for many years ! This board .. and Racing in general are on the ropes for one reason . The Attack on America and its money from  Washington DC ( an your state capital house ) to be distributed to the " Stupid American Voter " that will gladly sell everything American for a Check and a vote for Hillary  !

Metric man : It was a well executed plan from the 60,s and it worked until the Trump Movement Blew it to little pieces! However the plan to make America Dumb and Afraid and Dependent on Big Brother  forever is still hard at work just down the street at the school house and the State colleges!

Those Elite self proclaimed geniuses' who portray racing as a bunch of Dumb hicks like the queer movie called Talladega nights

PS I need to add that there are exceptions to that unwritten law of Academia and I know a few!
