Will the crate rule impact car counts
More than likely it will next season when its mandatory for lates, street stocks, and modifieds.

I doubt too much, as those who have pavement race cars have no other track to go to!! And on down the line it may help as it appears the track now has a stable management.
GOOD RACING!!!

Maybe a stable management Walt but with only one asphalt track to race at in a huge area I don't think it will ever thrive...JMO...

Can't agree with you more Cool1.....Would rather watch rocks grow than watch a Jennerstown weekly show !.....I don't know how they will survive if they giving away free tickets every week ?.....

They wont have next year when crates are manditory. They tried a crate late model class there in early 2000's that had like 6 cars in it.

I heard many say the racing last year was good at J-town with many seats filled. Never been to the place since it was paved.
The 4 cyls. are actually the best regular class there I think....The ISMA Supers are the best show that will be there...I f you haven't seen them do yourself a favor and go watch them...I heard many say the racing last year was good at J-town with many seats filled. I used to think this way too, but the super cup race I attended (for free) had over 7000 in attendance. Do the math. 7000 people buying at least a couple dollars in food is way more than a few hundred (typical dirt track crowd) paying $10 admission and a couple dollars food. It's actually a brilliant idea. Guess who can sell big billboards to businesses easier too? And those billboards pay, even if it rains out. I'll still choose a dirt track every time, but I love the free/cheap admission idea. Another huge difference, was probably only 1 or 2 out of every 10 people there were true race fans. Most were there for some cheap entertainment. EXACTLY what our sport needs!Jennerstown is getting big crowds because the management gives away free tickets every week...They've been doing it for 2 years since they took over....I don't know how they will survive down the road if they continue to do it?...Sooner or later it's gonna bite them in the a--!
Edit: jennerstown had great food too, and I spent over $10 at the concession stand. another important area tracks overlook.

Low admission brings people out!!!!! Track's can't survive on just the die-hard race fans, and it will get worse the more they do that!!
GOOD RACING!!!!

Jennerstown was one of the few places with increasing car counts last year. Every division was averaging a higher number by the end than at the beginning. If I am not mistaken most of the Late Models ran basically what we would call a crate on the dirt anyways.

Strongly disagree about Jennerstown's food !....Bad food for a super high price!I used to think this way too, but the super cup race I attended (for free) had over 7000 in attendance.
