I wasn't speaking on the Blair's, should have clarified that I was speaking more to why Lernerville and PPMS cars were not there.

Blair's haven't run big races outside Erie and McKean that I know of for years.

People can talk smack on them all they want but they are successful doing what they are doing and it's there money.

Robbie had a few top 5's with the WoO at Tri-City years ago. Other than that I don't remember them running elsewhere with them or big events outside of Eriez, Stateline, or McKean as you said unless you want to count Max going to Charlotte last year. Didn't Rob run Raceway 7 over Lernerville back in the day? Really they've never ran Lernerville that much that I can remember other than Max in the crate.

I saw Robbie Blair at Lernerville back when the Dirty Dozen was the WOOLMS...  I think it was...

It takes a bunch of money for a small team to run with WOO or Lucas.  Any team that can do it more power to them.

Max ran the Firecracker a couple years ago.

Yes Max goes to Florida every single year. Trust me a lot of big late model teams that have the money don't even go down every single year.

i know max was going to be at sharon before he broke his big motor at mercer. they must have put their back up in for mckean, as he said it was another motor. if you don't have your best motor in for them boys, your wasting time and money.  at 1200 bucks for that fire system, many will stay home, plus sharon is a nightmare on motors.......you are on the wood all the way around that place.....some of us locals can't just bolt a new power plant in every race.......

Max takes his crate to Florida every year. I've never heard of him taking the super which is why I was surprised he went to Charlotte.

This fire system, sear, fuel cell deal # 1 makes no sense. They make it a non points show so that more locals can make the attempt to get in the show without the added cost. So if your a top 10 lucas team and decide it's not worth towing and can pick off a few local shows the only thing they lose is show points. Dano

It wasn't a pre planned non points race. They bailed on it mid show because the track fell apart.

For what it is worth, Max won both the "super" Late and RUSH crate race at McKean County Saturday night.  $2,200 in the Blair team bank account.   A lot more profitable than running the Sharon Lucas race would have probably been!!   Like it or not, every race team has to look at the bottom line!!   That is just the nature of the beast, like it or not!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Walt

D1rt. No my meaning was they being lucas passed a new rule saying seat fire system and cell. My point was as soon as they make these shows not full point races you don't have to have the seat, fire system, cell to the best of my knowledge. So if you chase points you need to spend the xtra money. I'm wondering if there regretting the decision they made.

Yes, in your world, once the decision was made to only award show up points mid-show, guys could change out seats and fuel cells, uninstall fire systems, and guys without that stuff that were waiting at the gate in case they made it non-points could have tagged the rear of the b main.

Yes, I'm sure Lucas regrets their attempts to bolster driver safety.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

They made the call right before the feature. You should probably stop talking.

we believe in safety, but what sucks is we just bought 10lb fire bottles at the end of last year........then these other one's became mandatory, so we basically have junk, that we can't run now. kinda sucks........

OK so your saying they make these calls right before the feature. Maybe we should have a Lucas official come on here and tell us why is that ? So you run heat races, B mains, and just before the feature line up the drivers tell Lucas naa this is not a full point race. There is not one of us on here that has any idea of why.  And your saying all the local SLM guys that showed up had the firesystem, seat and cell ? If so, good for them. Safety is something that should never be overlooked. But, the next time a driver gets seriously hurt, people will all say well they should have added this or that to there list. Cars today are light years ahead of what guys raced 20 years ago in the terms of safety and that is a good thing.

They took a vote of the series regulars to make it a show up points only race after the b mains because the track was so rough. I'm not seeing why you're having such a hard time understanding that.
