I was up at Path Valley Speedway this past Sunday for Appalachian Speedweek for super lates and talked to Mike O'Brien, the videographer up there and he works tracks all over...We started talking PPMS and according to him this is their last year in operation...I tend to believe him because he's a straight forward no BS guy that has great racing knowledge from everywhere....I guess we will all see what happens?

don't believe everything you hear ! the track owners do not seem to be treating this like their last year of operation. a lot of time and money have been put into the track surface, the new website and also advertisement. all things that IMO say they plan on being there in the future.

 

the revised pay scale based on the number of cars has people talking, that alone will start rumors.

Same thing I've heard from numerous people.  Go to Swagger Athletics home page and "coming in 2018" video,.  The track address is at the end.  Swagger is also getting money from UPMC and Robert Morris.  It's done October 9th.  That's why theyre cutting the purses this year, next year doesn't matter.  Trying to cash out with as much money as possible,

you do realize there is a few hundred acres there. Plenty of room for multi sports complex and a racetrack. Maybe this is a plan to survive.

If you watch the video and other material they've released they are planning on like 20 soccer and baseball fields and a huge indoor facility.  The track is not part of that set up.  Its gone.
