How many tracks are getting 24 Late Models for a weekly show nowadays??? There used to be a lot more cars at the dirt tracks as well. Some aren't getting much more than Jennerstown for a weekly show, Pittsburgh less!! Unfortunately, times have changed and with the high cost of racing and less interest in cars and driving by the younger generation, car counts may never recover!!

Some of us get confused (myself included) about the good ole days of full fields. If on Facebook, go to western pa racing history. Lots of old clippings from the 70's, 80's & 90's. The tracks with regular weekly shows rarely had more than 2 heats for the late models. Full fields were 16 to 20 cars at most tracks. Even some of the "invitational" races never had a last chance or b main.

I know from personal experience the once track owner and awtey made it very difficult to race at Jennerstown.
It was a constant struggle to compete against those odds, but sometimes the underdog does win.
The incidents that Wolfie29 references sound a little crazy, but what I have experienced with this team, and the actual actions
that awtey and his team have done concerning Jayme Beck leaves no doubt in my mind that they are true.

I don't want to get into the whole situation that I mentioned above. But it got really low for awtey and said track owner, when they used the banquet as a means to get back at this team. And that's all I am going to say about my experience with this so called champion of yours. Low class. No matter his accomplishments it only takes one time, in his case one year, to tarnish what he worked so hard to achieve.
