Used to wonder what would have happened if Sharon had gone Racesaver instead of Schwanke back in the early 2000's.  Then I wondered what would have happened if Mercer had gone Racesaver instead of Outlaw Sprint Warriors a few years ago.  Now here I am wondering again and although radracer didn't put my mind at ease, he could be right.  Trouble is he could also be wrong.

spike, it will be better  than the product they have now.....2 or 3 years and you'll see the outcome, which should be very exciting for sprint fans. 604's make crate lm's fly, those sprints wil really hall the mail......

Rad, like I said, you may be right.  As a former Hickory motor owner who watched Tri City adopt the Ohio Sprint Bandits rules when they had zero cars, I'm a little gun shy.  Last year Plymouth(IN) Speedway was going to go with a crate motor deal.  If you're not familiar with that, you should check it out.  There was no way I was ever going to get involved with the Sharon Schwanke deal, buying a motor,  wing, tires, etc. for one track.  Our 305 Racesaver lasted 90 races until rebuilt.  We have run Lernerville,  Mercer,  Tri City, Dog Hollow, Pittsburgh, Thunder Mountain, Hesston, Lincoln, Williams Grove, Path Valley,  Susquehanna,  Hill Valley, Grandview and one or two others.  We'll keep running Racersaver 305's.  That number 94.3 will look good on your wingless 604 crate sprint car.  If you want to see the Racesaver 305's haul the mail,  head down to Shenandoah.  And If some day you are going to run that wingless 604 crate sprint  at Kokomo, let us know.  That WILL be exciting.

lol, i'm good with lm's spike.........crate 604's can last just as long, believe me, bobby powell and i ran ours about 2 or 3 years before everyone got so serious and got rebuilds every 30 + races. we had like some 120 races on that first motor......lol. just that vicki will make it very hard for you to not race with rush.....if you are competitive, you are going to want some of that money she will dangle in front of you....race and get paid outside the track to do so, you'll be involved, i'm telling you...

WRONG, Rad!   And you can take that to the bank.  The truth be known, you have a much better chance being involved with a 604 wingless crate sprint car than I.  Remember I skipped the Ohio Sprint Bandits, the Schwanke Green Flags, and the Outlaw Sprint Warriors All Pro and 602 Crate.  Let me update that.  You have a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better chance being involved than I.  I'd use MUCH more times but they would bounce me for using MUCH too many times.  And as a favor,  would you put a little of your cash aside to buy us an American Racer.  Thanks.

Spike....What car are you??

The very first night we were # 83 at Hickory with Rick Robinson as our driver.  That was back in the mid 1990's.  Why # 83?  Because that was the number on the car when we bought it. Our spares were limited to one mounted right rear tire.  Our trailer and motor cost us $900. The car had cost us five times that.  Rick, who had never driven a sprint car before, started around 14th and finished 9th.  To this day,  that was among the most fun nights I ever spent at the races.

With an open tire rule or a right rear only rule why not?  They are less expensive, made in America, and you can go over and pick them up at the factory.
