I'd rather get a rain check than see no racing at all. The concept of being held "hostage" at a racetrack is foreign to me.

I agree about the rain check, but I'm pretty sure that the rain check policy is that if they finish the heats the rain check is done. I'd rather they cancel than finish the heats, with no features and no rain checks.
My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

They did it one time this year it with the Sportsman feature. Other than that it has been a long time.
So, no rain check. That's what I mean. Lernerville pretty much runs or they don't. They don't put themselves in the position of needing to honor rain checks, and yet they run when no one else in the area can, or maybe that has changed. Time will tell.

Lernerville, like any other track, runs when it doesn't rain. Some times the forecast is good, sometimes not so good. Generally, they will race, but whether or not rain checks are required on a given night is surely beyond human control, even the good folks who run Lernerville. Double features are fine with me.
