The golden Isles stuff is interesting Bacon Bits because I just read an article last night which talked about them taking grandstands from Daytona

They added the bleachers from Daytona last year. The old bleachers weren't cutting it for the Super Bowl of racing they have there in February.

I don't want to see Crates take over as a headlining division at every track, however, that show at Lernerville last Friday, topped by the Boss Sprints, was excellent.  The Crate Late Model race was as good a race as you'd ever want to see.  The Crate Late Models also put on a great show week in and week out at PPMS.

i'm not arguing a crate take over by any means........just these bleacher folk think she is directly harming local racing with her divisions is bullchit. you don't build something without at least somebody joining your cause. it cannot grow, unless somebody feels like it is option they like.........these are 10,000 to to 25,000 decisions, that people have to make, and the decide her way.......are promoters giving this option to the drivers in the big three? no......is there anyone out there promoting ways to save the big three? no.......until somebody does, zip it. as for big purses and cars showing......i remember 13 or so sprints showing up for higher pay at tri-city.......then a lower paying race 27 or so sprints.  40 cars for 30,000 dollar firecracker.........that chit happens all the time, everywhere....only people that have a chance show up for those..

as i said, spread out, boring racing.........hard on motors, big motors prevail, don't pay out nothing, big pit fee tracks......and you answered your own question  hero.......if people had the money to better their favorite classes, they would............omg, what a prophecy........... your also entitled to get off your ass and do something to help.......but you don't.......your bitch about somebody that has got off her ass and done something.......and lol, it is working, big time........so if ya want to save your sport, point your fingers and bitch to your track promoters...not vicki.

hail to the queen.

Hahaha bitching about bitchig. Didn't realize that going out each week and supporting racing equaled sitting on ones ass............... Without those bleacher folk going every week where is racing? Look no further than Golden Isles. It takes promoters, drivers, & fans for racing to be successful

I don't know about Golden Isles overall plans, but just got a Lucas Series press release announcing their 2018 "Super Bowl" dates for February next year.  So the track is not going away!!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!!

The place was packed for days Walt. The camping area was huge, maybe many were moving south afterwards for more racing. There was a quality field of cars. It was a shame the track surface did not come around and it turned into a train race.

Eriez is crate only?

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

eriez/stateline runs SLM and crate's and i'm pretty sure there sportsman class is not a crate class and your correct the 2 speedway's work together it seems and there doing just fine with 1 crate class.

People go to those tracks for supers and they have pretty solid emod races. They have arguably the best cards aside from lernerville and the crates are a part of that in combination with the rest of the lineup. Stateline is usually pretty full of Scott fans since it's their track and in their backyard. I'd watch Watson and Scott race any day of the week. They have a good field of crates but the supers are what put fans in the seats. Look at Eriez attendance two weeks ago for ULMS vs last week. Half the fans for the weekly show this past week, fireworks also seemed to be a draw since a decent bit of people left after them

Scott and Watson are the best there is in the E-Mod class right now for sure!!  Once again running 1-2 in #1 Cochran CAVALCADE POINTS with Scott having a five point advantage as of last weekend's racing.  Both have 7 wins so far this year.

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!

they have two limited divisions, and the stands this week were just about as packed, as they ran out of food for the second week. i have not seen an outsider come in and beat the crates up there yet. max has won only one crate race there this year i believe, and 90 percent of the time you can run high or low....racey, the key to cars and fans.....and if lm's run second, or 3rd, fans do not leave the stands......e-cono mods have been just as good or better than there brothers most nights. if you can pass, fans will come.....
