They started all of the other divisions after the late models. It's much easier to implement a shock rule from the beginning than it is to tell all of those guys that have $5k in shocks that they are useless.Their other series have shock rules. If it's a "money saver" then it should that way the whole way around. I can't speak from the beginning of "crate" racing because when that crap became the headliner at tri city I stopped going to any dirt racing for years. I speak from what I hewr at tracks and the lovely population of race stud. If it's an inacurate statement and not something they put out then I digress. I just don't see why LM's should be different than rush mods or pro mods with shock rules. As you've said before the modifieds needed a class like the rush mods and I enjoy them. I am just not a fan of the RUSH LM's. And if they make no promises or mention of shocks then the bilstein program makes sense but money is still at the front, which will be the case in any form of racing I suppose.

wow, seems like a clinton verses trump post......you people just make me laugh. vicki didn't do this, your promoters did. as classes decline, are they making efforts to save full blown sprints, lm's, or big blocks......hell no. how many times do you guys post the same dumb shit, blaming the wrong people. vicki's rush is just an option. but her's is working, why is yours not? that should be the question you folks need to bitch like little girls about. if your getting all the damn fans, why is your favorite class dieing? sit your premadonna ass at home, your part of the problem. or get off your asses and start a package to save your favorite class....hell no, just bitch. none of you give a flying crap about crate racing, but have excuses why it should be failing. you whine about shocks, well you can buy the good ones used for a dime a dozen anymore. and like i said before, her feeder system is what is giving you lm fields right now.....not your feeder bitch systems.....mercer has full blown sprints now, and how is that going you star studded class A race fans? if your not going to help better the sport, pay your 14 bucks, sit down, and shut your pie hole.....

I promise you, it's not people involved with the main divisions complaining for the most part. Most of us see the benefits of a feeder class. It's almost always the people that don't have a dime invested that are complaining.wow, seems like a clinton verses trump post......you people just make me laugh. vicki didn't do this, your promoters did. as classes decline, are they making efforts to save full blown sprints, lm's, or big blocks......hell no. how many times do you guys post the same dumb shit, blaming the wrong people. vicki's rush is just an option. but her's is working, why is yours not? that should be the question you folks need to bitch like little girls about. if your getting all the damn fans, why is your favorite class dieing? sit your premadonna ass at home, your part of the problem. get off your asses and start a package to save your favorite class....hell no, just bitch. none of you give a flying crap about crate lm racing, but have excuses why it should be failing. you whine about shocks, we you can buy the good ones used for a dime a dozen anymore. and like i said before, her feeder system is what is giving you lm fields right now.....not your feeder bitch systems.....mercer has full blown sprints now, and how is that going you star studded class A race fans? if your not going t help better the sport, pay your 14 bucks, sit down, and shut your pie hole.....

Who are the new owners are they different then what is around the track? Did you see the huge new car storage facility surrounding the track? Are the new owners the same as the owners of the car storage all around the track?
I don't see much other then the track road for a way to bring cars in and out. Might the future of the track property be for a rail line spur into the new car storage area?

Press Release
Golden Isles Speedway
6 July 2017
We regret to announce that as of today July 6th, 2017, Golden Isles Speedway is closing its doors until further notice.
For drivers, the points received as of July 1st will be the final points standing of the season. Champions of each division will receive earnings from the points fund at the end of the year.
We wish everyone a great year.
Best regards,
Golden Isles Speedway
Their schedule didn't show any crate racing. What I saw was they rotated between Lates and Limited's each week. I think the track closed because the land is needed for other use.

Never gonna happenWell, because it was mentioned. How was the fan turnout at tri-city ? Nobody has touched the point I made about the traveling series that come to lernerville. Everyone of us look forward to those dates. I don't see how local tracks are going to pay sanctioning fee's with the destruction of classes to a all crate format. You need those local cars. I was told this is one of the reasons matus, spithaler and Garvin are on the road. There testing the waters and want to get ahead of others that may follow. Just released this week. New ownership at Golden isles just locked the gates. No fan support for there weekly crate program. This is a argument that will go on until until a speedway dies because of a all crate program. Personally I hope it doesn't happen.

golden isle's problem?/ you can't pass, cho-cho racing........ i bought the lucas race.......won't again.......if your track[which is your main investment] doesn't produce good racing, it will fail.......bigger tracks, will fail........to spread out.........mercer is a prime example in my opinion....lernerville is an awesome crate track, most tmes the crate lm's the best race of any division.

as i said, spread out, boring racing.........hard on motors, big motors prevail, don't pay out nothing, big pit fee tracks......and you answered your own question hero.......if people had the money to better their favorite classes, they would............omg, what a prophecy........... your also entitled to get off your ass and do something to help.......but you don't.......your bitch about somebody that has got off her ass and done something.......and lol, it is working, big time........so if ya want to save your sport, point your fingers and bitch to your track promoters...not vicki.

My choice is Mercer for $14 a regular show and fireworks, over $25 at PPMS.
If it rains at Mercer and isn't raining at PPMS, then I'll spend the $11 difference and go watch at PPMS because it's closer over $14 at Wayne County. .

I agree with what you say but sometimes the drivers are their own worst enemy too. Few years ago, RUSH had 6 grand to win show at Winchester and like 40 cars showed up which was a pathetic turnout. Last year Pittsburgh had a 4110 to win show, payout was better then a touring race and only 25 cars showed up. It's like the drivers cry they want to race for good money then when an event is held with it, they have all these excuses on why they did not show up.

They've dumped tons of money into that place over the last few years, but weekly racing has never been all that strong there. This isn't the first time they've cut weekly racing and I'm sure it won't be the last time. I don't think the track is going anywhere, but I do see them going to a specials only joint.
Thanks what you said is interesting. It's raining out and I didn't chance it going to the fair to watch harness racing. The track closing interested me and I had some fun commenting on it.
darn rain today making me stay away from racing

Lol, on a similar note. Has anyone ever seen a track have cars on it while looking at them on google earth? I guess the chances would be really slim that they captured the picture at that particular time but there are never cars or any maintenance vehicles.

It's very common.
