It's a crying shame what local dirt track racing has become......

The point is that Vicki personally DQ'd someone without a racing reason. We all knew it was inevitable. She has too much clout and too big of a kingdom for it not to. The question is, will the peasants revolt or continue to be ruled.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Can't bite the hand that feeds. Speak up and get the same treatment as Kugel. She's the Cercsi Lannister of Racing.

Oh no, the V hive is back. The point is that outspending really shouldn't happen in a budget class... which we've discovered rush LM's really aren't. If you run regularly in supers and havedone so for several years I truely feel you shouldn't be in a crate. If your starting your super career and moving up, that's fine to still run both for a short period. But the Kyle Busching that goes on weekly should stop.
what are you talking about? what does kyle busching have to do with the current circumstances? are you referring to the mollick deal?

Yes, kind of combined multiple points in one post and one was for to the mollick post. Sorry. I think if you're running supers weekly then you really shouldn't be running crates every week. Here and there maybe but that just my opinion. Plus jo73 & radracer talking about outspending happening in every class. Yes it happens but in budget classes it should really only happen in the tire area because everything else should be fairly cost efficient for everyone. Idk, it is what it is and RUSH is RUSH. It's not going anywhere and Vicki will continue these politics. Kugel isn't the first for stuff like this and he won't be the last.

Things like this should be the downfall of her empire, but probably won't be. She may be able to do what even nascrap hasn't been able to sustain their business doing and start blatantly dictating the winners from her throne.

I feel for you, and feel the series is in the wrong on this one
I think it is excellent and appropriate that they make spot checks, but they need more help and better planning.
Your blood pressure was up and so was hers.
They need to make this one right to keep face and credibility .....based on what I'm reading here.

Someone is making a lot of money thru this deal and it sure as hell isn't the racer. 94.3 your happy good for you. But remember one thing it takes fans to support what you do more than anything else. No fans, no racetrack, I don't care what division your running. Anytime someone has a legitimate question not one of you 'supportors' have a answer. Keep racing you guys are needed every week. Kugel got screwed and you won't believe it unless there's a video. Really...

I want to get this strait I did not refuse tech like press said... I was in tech with my hood off and getting ready to pull fuel and a valve cover when Vicky came to me and said u are dqed for not being here on time.... I was literally in teck 4 mins after I came off front stretch for vicktory lane.. No one told me when I was on scales that there was additional tech... I went to my trailer after vicktory lane and Travis came and got me for tech it wasn't till I pulled over there for tech that I even knew it was going on and it was not even at the scales as I pulled to scales first and got out of the car there and some guys said hey the are over there in between this 2 rigs .. Almost hiding..lol so I pulled over there she told me I'm dqed I got back in my car after a few choice words and drove off to my trailer ... Travis told me he see the confusion and that he would just go ahead and teck my fuel and valve spring until Vicky said noway he is done
When Vicki owned Mercer the winner was allowed to go to tech after the victory lane ceremonies on the track. In fact I was constantly reminded to send the winner to tech or the scales after interviewing the winner. As long as the winner did not go their pit space there was no problem. If you went to your pit space before going to the tech station, she got you.

But he wasn't informed of the additional tech until he got to his stall.

Again, I was all for the crate LM class. Rush wants control of all divisions. If that is not obvious, then your not seeing the total dominance that there after.

I have no problem with Rocky speaking up. You have to remember who he is dealing with though. Vicki is a shrewd operator. If you are going to challenge her, you better bring your A game. Was there an official waving the top 5 to tech? I am not disputing Rocky's version of events except to say, right now she has four of the top five finishers saying they saw the flashlight motioning them to tech. Rocky has dominated Vicki's kids. Anybody who thinks Vicki's kids are not onboard to push Rocky out of the crate mods, is crazy. I didn't do a good job of explaining it to Rocky a few years ago, but this is what I tried to warn him about. But he wasn't informed of the additional tech until he got to his stall.

...which is part of the bigger problem, Mike. Rush is not and never has been about the racing, and it shows. If this is happening in one of her divisions why should we believe it's not happening in the others? We may not know exactly what the problem is from the stands, but we can sense a problem. Rocky is well liked in the stands because he is a good driver. Nascrap is losing fans, because they alienated racing fans to try to gain soap opera fans. Rush is more like a bad soap opera than a racing organization and we can feel it.
BTW Mike, I love your willingness to jump in. You've said that you get criticized a lot for it on here, but your love for racing is one of the reasons I liked you as an announcer. You did much more than report the running order and lap count. I don't always agree with you, but you add enough to the conversation that I know that we don't always agree...and I appreciate that.

Other than the teams and their family and friends the crates do not have a big following. They cannot draw a crowd as a stand alone program. There is not going to be the upheaval in the crowd there would be if an established star in the sprints, late models, or modifieds got the same treatment as Rocky. There is no question Vicki has her favorites. The first year of Fastrak, Max Blair was her boy. Along comes Mike Pegher and Max was dirt under her shoes. Rocky was a golden boy the first year the crate mods ran because he was an established racer switching to crate mods when there was no car count. Now the youth movement and expanded car counts along with his willingness to stand his ground and speak his mind have made him expendable. Vicki stacked the deck 4 to 1 against him with the flashlight. A brilliant move on her part. She wants him out, and he ain't seen nothing yet. I hope he can stick it out. Like I said he is kicking butt in the crate mods, so the kids will do whatever it takes to support Vicki removing their #1 rival....which is part of the bigger problem, Mike. Rush is not and never has been about the racing, and it shows. If this is happening in one of her divisions why should we believe it's not happening in the others?
