Found this on http://www.4m.net this morning. I can't think of another driver in the USA that has the wins or the high percentage of starts to wins, top 5's, top 10's as this kid has. He's on a pace to possibly knock down 40 wins in a season.

I can't think of any other driver who likes to cherry pick at his favorite tracks and always has an excuse on why he doesn't go to the big races when the big boys are in town to Showcase his skills.

Stateline and Eriez have some of the best fields in the area, so I would hardly call that "cherry picking!!  True, the Blairs tend to stay away from Lernerville and Pittsburgh, but who beat the WoO at McKane County??    Max now has 25 total wins this year between the "super" and the crate cars!!

GOOD RACING!!!

Walt

If all of the national touring guys ran the same exact schedule as Max (and Max didn't exist) there are very very few that would have as many wins as he has. Most would not have half of the stats he has. He is elite.

Stateline and eriez have full fields but not near the level of top cars that lernerville does. Max's consistent everywhere he goes and nobody can take that away from him nor can you really discredit the wins. The thing with max is he doesn't run with the outlaws or lucas at any track he doesn't regularly run. He runs several area tracks and knows them well. Sure they're in tight with rocket but he still has to wheel. The only real threat at Eriez is Hess who does well there and at Stateline, it's a bit of a track position game but Scott is the other big fish there. That isn't Max's fault. I don't like the way he drives and I don't like that he avoids Lernerville but he can drive a car. I see why peoppe like and dislike him. My thing is Miley runs anywhere with anyone and that's why he's my favorite local. It is impressive that Max won at McKean now I hope Miley can bring it home at Eriez.

It's not a rule that you have to go to those races.

Max passes up woo or lucas shows that are local to attend a local race. You want to be the best, you got to beat the best! I loved it when someone called into dirt on dirt live and bitched because Max wasn't in the top 25 drivers poll. Michael Rigsby said it best: Max would have to have 25-30 race wins to even be considered for a top 25 poll because he wins locally and that's it.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Max is extraordinarily talented, no doubt, but he was seriously outclassed when he ran the NDRL.

"Access", but still takes $$$.  As far as Miley goes, he is just running the big races currently, seldom goes to a weekly show at Lernerville or Pittsburgh!!   Every team has to look into the economics of where they are racing to be able to continue running!!     And look how many drivers today are running only one night a week, in all the top classes. Last week Lernerville & Sharon both had 16 Modifieds. But only three drivers ran both nights, Krummert, Murdick and Reges.  The Kings would have but they have had some engine issues in recent weeks.

GOOD RACING!!!

Walt

Lucas at Sharon, the Firecracker, and woo at Smethport, are only national local races so far. So he missed racing in a cornfield at Sharon, and a rubbered up one laner at Firecracker. Won the other one. Looks like wise decisions to me.

There's another WoO show at Lernerville, and a Lucas show at PPMS. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say he goes to neither. He does what's best for his program and that's his right, but it does appear that he shies away from national competition,

I'm happy with him not punting drivers at Lernerville. I don't get to go to as many tracks as I'd like, so I'm happy to not have him wrecking people at the one I get to go to.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

You can call it anything you care to call it. But, let's take a look at the $$$. the Blairs as a team are doing what it takes to bring home the dollars. Sure many of us would like to see them come thru the gate Friday or Saturday night. They would be a welcome addition, but for whatever there reasonNing is they prefer not to.

This kind of thing is funny. Winning at any level is hard.

Talent aside, he probably has the most annoying fan base in local racing.
