HOMAK PENN OHIO PRO STOCK CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES RETURNS TO PPMS FOR WEE WILLIE WHITE MEMORIAL EVENT ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 5TH!

For Immediate Release

August 1, 2017 (Sandy Lake, PA) The 2nd Annual “Wee” Willie White Memorial Race will take place this Saturday, August 5th at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania’s Motor Speedway located at 170 Kelso Road, Imperial, PA.  The event is the second race at PPMS for the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series of the 2017 season paying $1,000 to win and will be a series’ point race for both the Touring Series and M & T Allison Construction Segment Two.

Track owner Matt Miley stated “The Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series has put on phenomenal events at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.  They have consistently produced a higher car count than any other division that races at the speedway.  We look forward to hosting them again as we celebrate the life of Wee Willie White.  Willie was a great friend of racing and a great friend of the Miley Family.  We can’t wait for Saturday night!”

The event is designated as Wee Willie White Youth Night with kids 12 and under receiving free admittance with an adult.  Hot laps will begin at 6 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.  Heat races will be determined through pill draw.  A 40 car challenge feature will be run if the car count is 40 plus and will be $300 to win, $50 to start for all cars not included in the A Main.

A $25 registration fee will be charged to all drivers.  The registration fee will give drivers an opportunity at the $1,000 to-win prize, multiple contingency prizes including a Hoosier tire presented by Precise Racing and Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, American Racer tire presented by Lias Tire, $50 hard charger awarded by Shaffer’s Auto & Exhaust, and a Big Daddy’s $25 gift certificate.  Homak Penn Ohio Touring Series drivers will be eligible for a variety of additional contingency prizes: a racing rim donated by SS Chassis, a case of oil donated by Les Frickshun, a hood scoop or wheel cover donated by Dirt Defender, racing products donated by Precise Racing, gift certificates donated by Close Racing, Genesis Shocks, Schoenfeld Headers, ARbodies, Big Daddy’s Speed Center, Precise Racing Products, and Wedge Motorsports.

The “M & T Allison Construction Segment Two Shoot Out” will involve the three Touring Series’ races at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania’s Motor Speedway on June 3rd; August 5th; and October 6th & 7th.  Touring Series Members racing at these races will receive points for the Touring Series, as well as points for the segment two point chase worth $1,000 to-win, paying the top five in points.  Along with M & T Allison Construction, Miley Truck/CruiseAmerica Rentals will contribute to this three-race point chase.

I'm a little confused about the "Challenge Race".  The way I read this is that they will take 40 cars for the A main and any outside of that run a non qualifiers race....that can't be right?

If they get 40 cars, the A main will start 26 cars and the NQ will have 14+

no,

Correction: 26 cars start A main, $1000 to win $100 to start.

If 40+ cars, NQ race $300 to win, $50 to start.
