Congrats to Jon and team for getting into the Pittsburgher and getting the PPMS Championship.
Have to finish races and he did that.

I see your point 714d but the pace truck passed as many cars as Hodgkiss did and that would be zero. I remember the ppms provisionals being Miley Geisler Johnson Feree Flinner and thinking they might have a chance to move up. The fact he was in over a local of say Barbara was embarrassing. I do give him credit for sticking it out. He had to get passed by the first 7 cars about 11 times with all the cautions. That's a lot of work for an extra $250.
Barbara blew up and pulled out Friday or he would have been in.

Hodgkiss should get some good tv time for nearly wrecking the leader with 2 to go.
Leader or last, the driver is 100% responsible for all that happens on the track.
If there's conflict between the best car with the most experienced driver any car or any driver on the track, the fault is always who hit who. If your the fantastic great driver then unless you have brain fade or loose your cool, you will do what is necessary to avoid lesser cars. If a car spins in front of you and you hit them it's your fault for not recognizing track conditions and the skill level of the driver in the car you hit.
The story goes a young and up coming driver apologized to Steve Kinser for not getting out of his way when being lapped, Steve's reply was you do your best and drive your race, I'll drive mine. If I'm any good I'll get around you.
Nothing more upsetting and wreck causing then drivers not doing their best and consistently doing their best. The fact is on the lead lap or a hundred laps down, Jon from what I've read on here consistently did his best on and off the track and beat cars which did not. Two laps to go, an almost means the leader did his job well and avoided a problem, as he should have done.

The problem is Legend ran all the way up to the wall as O'Neal was about to pass him, O'Neal wisely backed off, went to the inside and was passing the 69 in the first turn and Legend came down and they made contact. It wasn't a good line he was running that many laps down.

Your right, I was wrong. Thank you for the correction of my error.
Got in late from Mercer, looked to see what happened at PPMS and saw he finished 15th. Thought about hard charger and late at night missed who really was the hard charger.
