He showed up to every race and finished them all. I have seen guys win championships over the past 25 years that didn't win a race that season. It's about dedicating your time to be consistent and making sure mechanical issues do not happen. And if you miss a race or dnf you are behind. I had 3 or 4 dnfs this season due to overheating. A head gasket leaking only once I reached 200 degrees. His equipment was mechanically sound. That says a lot about his program. Regardless of what some people think that is a victory in itself. Congrats.

Actually, he ran pretty well last night, he hasn't run that well all year, he passed some decent cars, and the car was definitely handling much better than previously.  His laps times were also darn good.  Not my favorite, but he got 'er done.

I think Hodgkiss might be the first track champion to never win a heat or feature in his entire career in that division. Pms needs to drop the shop up points so winning a champonship actually means something so this never happens again. Should call it the hodgkiss rule lmao.

So if you finish 2nd at every race you couldn't be a champion. Sounds like a nascrap theory.

Just 6 according to my records.  The Pittsburgher will be number 7. Three regular races and three extra purse specials.  Hodgkiss never had a top three finish.   Last "regular" race was on June 10, won by Miley. Barbara and Colton Flinner won the other two "regular" races.  Ferree, Miley and Norris won the three bigger races at $3,000 or more to win per race.  Think PPMS gave points for all six races, but I am not sure of that.

GOOD RACING!!!

There is no track provisional and hasn't been one the last 2 years either.

All ya'll bustin balls and the area is struggling as it is to get a full field of cars.  If anything, you should be thanking the guy for showing up every race and being a part of the show.

(and people wonder why local racing is in bad shape)

You're not completely wrong.  There wasn't one provisional last year; there were two.

you are mistaken as usual scruffy, those first two were courtesy of Rocket Chassis and Saterlee Fuels. Barbara got in through the Red Miley Rumble. So as I correctly stated, there is no track provisional meaning there is no provisional for the highest points man who does not make it.

Had you been this clear the first time, there would be three fewer posts on this topic.   Pardon my incorrect expectation that the terms track provisional and PPMS provisional could be used interchangeably, ma'am.

Well, blew, that went right over your head, too.  Your girlfriend, Chromosexual, meant to say that there has not been a provisional set aside for the top point guy that fails to qualify for the Pittsburgher 100, but instead said that there was no track provisional.  Listed in the press releases were PPMS provisionals.  Since PPMS is a track, I made the leap that Chromo didn't realize that PPMS (as opposed to Lucas provisionals, however the awardees were determined) did, in fact, award two provisionals.  She clearly had knowledge of the provisionals, but her semantics were off.  My expression of regret was feigned.  Poes' law.
