I've been to Hartwell, North GA, Rome, Lavonia and first to Dixiein I think in 1974, plus at least 5 kart tracks in the area and Macon drag strip.  The racing down there and the drivers ain't any better then what we have here.

Where do you find results for the Lucas series beyond who makes the feature?

Marlar is putting together a new car that'll be ready for the Pittsburgher. We'll have a couple WoO guys in BShepp and Eckert.

Do we really have to ask anymore if the Blairs will travel more than 50 miles to be at a Super Late touring series event?

It's just not economically viable, unless someone buys them tires.

If at first you don't succeed, then maybe you just suck.

i was thinking there could be a possibility because of the rush show, but with them you just never can expect to see them show up. I realize he has raced against the WoO guys and beat them, but if you want to get noticed you need to run a lot more with these guys than they do.

The Stateline-Eriez circuit has one of the strongest LM fields in the area and always has, So how is Blair "cherry picking" just because he doesn't go to Lernerville or Pittsburgh for a couple of big shows??   So far this year he has 23 "Super" Late wins and another 14 in the crates!!   37 total wins!!   He can run both classes twice a week, so why go anywhere else most of the time??   In these days of high costs a race team has to be run like a business, and the Blairs seem to do very well at that!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!!

Walt

Quantity, yes. But I wouldn't say strongest. The strongest late model field was between Lernerville and PPMS in the 90s in this area. Davey Johnson, Mike Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Kip Moore, Lou Bradich, Mike Norris, Ben Miley, Lynn Geisler, Steve Baker. You can go on and on. Nothing compares to that in this area.

Vs Dick Barton, Chub Frank, Ron Davies, Skip Furlow, Dan Armbruster, Lars Hulings, Matt Urban, Rob Blair, Bob Close, Todd Andrews, Dave Scott. Compete against that back in the day. When Nielsen had Raceway 7, by far the toughest weekly field in the country.

Will the Carpenters be there? They dominate there area, but rarely ever leave. Pretty similar situation as Max, but nobody ever mentions (whines), about them.

Fred told me they dont like big tracks like ppms. Too hard on their motors.

I'll give you Davies, Chub and Andrews. They could hang with any of those guys at ppms on a regular basis.

You said "always has". That's why I referred to the 90s.

Yes, I just saw that on Facebook today.  Maybe Pegher doesn't want to run both classes, so will just run the Geisler car??

GOOD RACING!!!!

Walt
