The place was built by a Trucker so what does that mean ? anything?

What was the answer about weight for open motors and while your at it where can you view open rules for lernerville.. cant find them on the site

or is it just Penn Ohio rules?

Thanks

Please don't compare Don Martin to any present day promoters, he cared as much for the drivers as he did his track.

Never did get that answer on the sportsman rules. It takes a simple reply because by not answering you look bad and that's how crap gets started

I saw on another post someone made mention the racers are still out there it's just to many classes.  Lernerville had a nice field of cars. But, look at all the classes and add them up. 138 cars in classes that have saturated fields at many tracks. remove the 27 stocks and you still come up with over a 100 cars. Then you have the 82 total cars that showed up running under the rush banner. Good for the sport huh. Altman needs to keep Mercer alive and run those cars as headliners, that would be like throwing money into a crapper. It's a traveling side show and it's killing racing.

What many of you fail to understand is that if a lot of these teams weren't racing in the Rush divisions, they would be sitting at home.  Daryl Charlier is a prime example, I'm sure he would love to run Super Late Models, as he did in the past, but for him and many of the Rush guys, it is not possible to sustain the costs associated with a weekly SLM.  Last night's show was great from my standpoint, I left after the Rush Mods and had a wonderful time.  The only thing that would have improved my evening was winning the 50/50 raffle.  Looking forward to tonight. Great weather, good friends, and lots of racing.

Flash, but we're does it end. Class after class after class. It is only diluting the fields everywhere. Adding more classes is not the answer. Next year it's going to be the sprint cars. They cannot support themselves. Added attraction, yes. I doubt if they could ever support themselves. JMO.

It ends when the competitors no longer wish to run with Rush.  I disagree that it's diluting the fields.  It's keeping people racing who otherwise would be on the sidelines.  I don't know if you've been to upstate New York any time recently, but the Crate Modifieds have four times as many cars as the other divisions.
