Dan just told us June 9th is the first race on Saturdays now. This Friday will be the last Friday race. So Marion Center looks like to be closed up.

Good move if Marion Center is not going to reopen!! However, sort of questionable if Marion Center is just going to be down a few weeks due to "health problems" in the Potts family as reported on here. I checked Marion Center's website yesterday, and it does not appear to have been updated since April, so I have no idea what is going on here!!

Seems to me there will be a few guys who would run a two night circuit of Lernerville and Dog Hollow due to this change. Doug Glessner, #17 was there Friday and he has been pretty much a Marion Center-Dog Hollow driver the past few years.
GOOD RACING!!!

The UMP tire rule will keep us from racing at Lernerville. Marion Center not opening is terrible news for us as we really enjoy racing there.

Thanks for the mention. Had a good run going and got messed up coming to the checker. TheUMP tires left over from Gateway Nationals and we junked 3 of them in the feature.

How so? These guys are hobbyists. They don't throw away 2 sets of tires a night. Some of them squeeze too many races out of a set, because they can't afford to replace them when they should. And some of them don't like Hoosiers. There's no good reason for that to be a problem in the first place.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

If you race here, there, or anywhere, you use up tires.
One shot deal I can understand.
Almost everyone that races local is a hobbyist ......some hobbyists just have deeper pockets and bolt on new rubber every time they hit the track. Lots of guys buy up those tires...... for less than half of what they are new.
Bar none, Lernerville is the premier track in the area. With the low LM car count you, can count on a decent finish and take home some $$$.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you ain't bolting new rubber on your SLM at Lernerville for the feature, you may as well plan on finishing outside the Top 5, no??

Other than Lernerville running the "Big 3" Port Royal is fast becoming the premier track East of the Mississippi without a doubt.

No ...and Bolting on new rubber won't put you in the top 5... it may help....at any track,

94.3........Regular Lernerville fans aren't going to drive all the way to Erie even if Eriez would be putting on a better show!! Too far away!!! There is only so far the average weekly fan will drive for their weekly show!! There may be some young single guys who would do that, but not the guy with a wife and several kids that goes to the races most every week!!
GOOD RACING!!!
