Running 18's and 19's in the heats. Got the track dialed in.....

That was lazy track prep at its finest. There was no excuse for that. They should have had the track disked right after their Saturday program and watered it non-stop for 2 days.

It ruts up real bad when they put the water to it. I dont know why it wont bind unless they use the roller. But I agree that race sucked.

The track sucked saturday too. They shouldn't have to use that roller every week. The track looked like it would've been pretty good sat until they bought out the roller. The worst part is that because it seals the track to the point that it doesn't matter if they put 5 gallons of water in it or 5,000, you're going to get the same gripless surface that couldn't give you a "cushion" for anything. Idk what they don't have that lernerville and port royal do but those tracks don't struggle like sharon does. I feel like i haven't seen the sheeps foot in a long time, but whatever they're doing isn't working and the track sucks as is. Idk if it would help to not water it as much as they did pre race saturday and run more packing laps with push trucks or what. I do get that tobight isn't the night to try something differenr but to pur all this water in or try this or that, then seal it with that roller gives the same result every week.

That track surface needs some TLC cause that race was good for 15 laps then it just plan sucked!

I agree with everybody else they were very lazy not opening the track back up to water it after all the rain was gone that never showed up. The racing suck because of it.

I can't tell you the last time I was at a racetrack when everything was over and it was still light out. It was like they rushed through the program just to get it over with and not care about the quality of it.

One thing is for sure, they are batting 100% with sh!tty track surfaces for Lucas shows there.

Can't blame them for rushing!!!   There was rain and storms throughout western PA.  I was amazed that they got the show in based on the weather where I live 30 miles north of Pittsburgh!!!

That's the thing, opening it back up to water it and pack it back down with the roller is pointless. It seals it so tightly that you'd be extremely lucky to get a 1/4 inch into it. Prior to the roller, any moisture they put in the track goes nowhere. It's packed so tightly no moisture can come back up. When they run anything on the track after the roller whether it's the water truck or whatever, they don't even remotely dig into the track, they don't even leave tread marks.

They found something that keeps the track together in that damn roller and now it's Dave's crutch. Idk what the answer is but I know what isn't....

Thats the best way to put it, I dont know how to fix it but the rough sucks and so does the roller.

on a side note, just turned onto sharon's road,  lightning hit 10 ft from my van, and turned me inside out......holy f^%%^ did that shrink my willy.........lol. with both windows down,  the sound was an incredible boom.......closest i've ever been to lightning...........

I got to the track at 5:30 and it rained from my house which is 45 min south till a mile after I got off the the exit off of Rt11. The guy whom I pitted next too said he came from the north and it rained the whole way there also. The entire horizon over the backstretch was black most of the race. Id say if the staff didnt dig up the track it was probably to avoid spending the entire evening running the track in. Which in return wouldve held us there till midnight and the internet wouldve been bitching about dragging out the show. If anyone knows anything about Sharon Speedway which I have zero ties to Dave the promoter works his ass off at that place. The facility its self is top notch grass cut, restrooms clean, food is good and the beer is cold. The surface is the hardest part of promoting a racetrack also the most expensive to maintain. Its no easy task especially when you race 2 nights apart and its 95 degrees out. My suggestion is if everyone has a better idea then you should probably donate your time and offer to help the folks at Sharon Speedway because Im sure they would welcome you with open arms. Because if there is anything I do know bashing them on the internet isnt helping any.

i liked the slick, but two grooves till lap 15 or so then black made it a bottom track......is there something in lm tires that make tracks lock down more than other divisions?

Im not calling them lazy or any of that, they work hard and 100% want the track slick top to bottom. What they cant figure out is that leads to rubber a good portion of the time. Slick is fine, rubber is not. What would you like people to do? Blow smoke up their ass and say a race was good when it was in fact terrible? If people dont express their displeasure with the product, how will they know people are unhappy? You dont have to be a dick about it and call them lazy, but you can say hey that roller sucks, put it away and be constructive.

There was rubber laid on the bottom at the speedweek show a few weeks ago but they were able to keep the top fast enough that it didnt really become an issue. Sprint cars have the benefit of the top wing to make running the fence more viable than a late model or modified.

Dry slick,it's like watching a freight train going in circles,it's like that every time I've been there.there's no passing unless u go to the top.I spend good money just like everyone else,I wanna see good racing not follow the leader,guarantee come sat it will be the same way.Good luck to the top 4 in the features cause one of them will be your winner.

It wasnt dry slick, it was rubbered. The heats were dry slick and they most certainly were not freight trains.
