Until I see some type of official press release with real names attached from the involved parties I'm not buying into this.

Tire rules in my opinion is what is hurting lernerville's SLM car count. I have no idea what there adding to the points chase fund but it has to be significant for them not to even look at options. Is dog hollow pay out that much better ? Why 2 tracks won't sit down and work together and combine there points so that at the end of the year you actually get something is confusing to me. Is WRG the problem ? Who knows...

How come Dog Hollow is getting twice the number of super Lates as they are crates???   Last week 22 to 11.  The week before 25 to 10.  Being a Lernerville guy since Don Martin opened the place in September 1967, I don't go there, but wonder why so many more supers than crates???

GOOD RACING!!!

Walt

No tire rule maybe? I know the payout isnt as good as Lernerville, they used to be a sliding pay scale depending on how many cars show up. Dont forget a lot of the Dog Hollow late models are steel block/358 cars only a handful are aluminum block cars.

"How come Dog Hollow is getting twice the number of super Lates as they are crates???"

It's because crates were pushed on via sales pitch to lower budget racers as a economical way to race.   Now when it's into the ball game and something breaks because of the speck this and speck that lower budget racers are shit out of luck and cash to be able to race because of the cost of mandated replacement parts.

Then there's the shitty tow money paid to get them to and from the track and jack squat for payout when you do get in a feature because of low car count.  Unless your well heeled in cash crate speck this and speck that is a bad deal for racers.  Walt it just costs to friggen much to have to use mandated parts for a low budget racer compared to being able to scrounge up something to get the car running as a super late.

How many are in that area? We were discussing the friday, sat, sun schedule up north and that regionally there is no crate overlap with the exception of mckean and stateline. Idk if it's close enough to say DH and PPMS are splitting the pool or not but they def don't pull from the north.

I was told that lernerville is considering dropping the late models next year

Lernerville would be better off dumping the bullshit UMP rules.

Oh well I'm sure Thunder Mountain will be more than happy to welcome the late models from Lernerville and with the success of the BRP mod show maybe they should run the big blocks too on Friday nights.

If it is sold it will be at the county "Recorders" office, a public document that anyone can see.

I'm thinking the Tomson's were paying very close attention to the open wheel special they just had. IF THAT IS THE CASE. Perfect opportunity for 2 tracks to run identical classes and rules. Run a combined points structure with a decent payout at years end and who knows. It may work. Toss in a few specials. I think promotors need to look outside the box. The way car counts are today I know I would be trying something.

410 sprint car counts are up

It use to be you could travel and make an Allstar show or some tracks special annual sprint show filling the field for good start money.  Today it's not uncommon to have 40 and more and even 50 cars for an Allstar or special track show.

jo73, racers race to beat someone with the ultimate goal to win.  For most racers points are ok and watched only because it's another way to show you beat someone.  jo73, it's still about if you beat someone even if it's done by attendance.  Tow money and payout are important because it helps get you to the track to give you another chance to beat someone and maybe even beat everyone by winning.  Points are a bullshit back door way for promoters to get more money off of racers at a years end feel good awards banquet.

maybe if you look outside western pa. but here about 26.two tracks, and all must show,or no racing. your lucky two tracks closed, or your field would be about 10 a track. and your theory about crates is wrong too. they are at so many tracks around here, they get spread thin. what did they have at manufactures night? 50+ cars on a sunday night? same with slm's. as xr-1 prices come down, car counts will go backup....plus, trump will help more cars come out too.......but lernerville, just stupid in my eyes.everyone has 1300's.............stupid to put yourself on an island....

www.mcc.co.mercer.pa.us/GIS/Disclaimer.htm

Parcel viewer still lists WBA Real Estate LLC of Butler, PA as the owner.

However I can't find the property listed on any real estate sites any more.

In it's Hayday The Little Guy Nationals were headlined by stock cars and small block modifieds. Must be going back to the good old days.
