Are you saying that because you know things changed and the deal fell through? If so I'm sad to hear it.
edit: or know the real story and know I was full of it and wrong at the time of my posting? Your post makes me think I was either wrong to start with or if there was a deal going on it fell through. I sure want to be able to go watch races at Mercer next year for many reasons.
What's important right now is to support Turkey and his race, The Little Guy Nationals. At the present time he is Mercer's best hope. Spreading rumours and third hand info is not going to help anybody.

Actually, dirt student is showing us his sarcastic side. As should I after being called a liar just a few weeks ago on a topic about this same thing. Despite being told from the horses mouth. Lol. Oh well.

The AARN item was part of Chuck Bollinger's column. I assume he talked with Ed Michaels, but don't know for sure.

What are you talking about? People have talked to them. Its not official yet, so no one is saying its official.I can't believe nobody has stopped down at the Michael Shop and flat out ask them in person. How hard would that be?

I was told by a person in the know that Ed Michaels was introduced to the drivers at the Little Guy Nationals as the new owner. With my bad hip I did not go to the pits so was not there to hear such personally. Seems to me we will just have to wait until an "official" announcement is made, and since Chuck said there was a closing on October 31, we may not have to wait too long!!

2019 will bring life back into the raceway. When the sale is finalized there will be an official announcement. Thank you for your continued support! -Eric
Thanks Eric. I think that you have done a superior job for the circumstances you are working with, in these past 2 seasons, and hope to see more upward momentum.
My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.
