My family and I are going too make a go at reopening Hidden Valley Speedway. Nothing was left in the concession stand equipment wise, if anyone knows of anybody selling concession equipment for a reasonable price, please contact Rodney Luzier Kathy Luzier Jennifer Luzier Bailey or myself with information. We will keep everyone updated with progress for as we have a lot of work ahead of us. Thank you and hope too see you in the spring.

Friday and Saturday is already saturated with tracks in close proximity of that place.
Sunday would be the only logical choice unless they plan on running completely different divisions than Thunder Mountain, Hummingbird, and Dog Hollow.
Then throw Marion Center in the mix if they ever decide to run again.

Think the area can support another track? Maybe if they run different classes or run Sunday. Still, not that many fans up this way. Good luck!

From where I sit down Lernerville way, that area seems to have more than enough tracks now!   And remember, that is not a big population area to draw from!!  They have no large cites like Pittsburgh, Erie or Youngstown to draw from. If both Hidden Valley and Marion Center reopened I think all the tracks in that area would hurt for cars and fans. Also remember that more teams than ever are only racing one night a week!!   Sunday is a rough night to run on, but I can be done as Eriez has done such for decades and Tri-City had many good years on Sunday.    However, what ever will be will be!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!

Running same classes as the Bird is a bad decision. Streets and Pures only had like 8-10 cars total. Thunder Mountain gave Pure stocks a shot and the only got a few and they had a good purse.

Would be a great opportunity to work together with a track like Clinton County run same divisions do a points bonus for supporters of both tracks! The tracks are only about an hour apart they could probably build a decent group of cars between the two tracks

ITS IN COAL COUNTY!

And Blue .. Im not yelling at the question

I'm Yelling about the Coal!

Coal is the Lifeblood and a major part of the economy of that region and had quite a bit of Dirt racing there .

The Dirtiest Coal is 10 times cleaner than the Toxic Chemicals used to make a practically worthless solar panel ... but thats another subject

Walt,

While the population may not be that big in the Clearfield and surrounding counties, I would wager that the population there, as a whole, is FAR FAR FAR more in interested in Dirt Track Racing, than that of the Pittsburgh, Erie, and Youngstown areas.  Those areas have become too Urban and something like Dirt Track Auto Racing is of little to no interest to the city-folk.   No??

Glad to see that it's reopening with the original owners that built the track back in the 90's.  Hope that it succeeds, and the surrounding tracks do as well.  This track did pretty well when it was AMP.  For the first season drew a good car count and fan base until the checks started bouncing.  Then the fights and the rest is history.  This is not a knock on Hummingbird or Marion Center.  Both good tracks in their own right.  However, the payout at both tracks has been sub par for too long.  Thunder Mountain will not be effected I don't think.  Perhaps Dog Hollow if they continue with Saturdays this year will feel a little bit.  There are more cars in the area than people think.  There are a few people who can't run fridays and refuse to run Hummingbird for whatever reason.  I'll give it a shot and see what happens.  God Knows Clearfield needs more for people to do than drugs and drinking.  This place has been on a slow decline for a while now.  I hope the track can bring in more revenue.

There is a lot of work to do before anybody is going to race on the track. They need to dig the sod off the track surface before they put the clay on it. Last fall when I stoped by to check the place out , the track had very nice green grass growing on it completely. They have a long road to hoe.   Good luck to them.

We will see what happens... They posted they needed everything for the concession stands... But they also posted today on Facebook they were at the track going over the grandstands and working already... In the pictures the track does look rough so I do agree it will definitely be a long road but I know if they build it back up I will be there weekly as a fan
