FanJim I dont know if we have a history on here or not because Ive had 7 concussions and I forget things easily. BUT if weve had a negative run in then it is forgotten because we jus became best friends. I agree 100%.

I don't think we have, but I'm sure I'll say something stupid sooner or later for you to call me out on.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Here's another analogy...I like a steakhouse with a good bread, and that can tip the scales in favor of one over another, but take away the steak, and the bread won't bring me in. Crates on a good night are good bread in a steakhouse, but when rush came in and took the stake out of the sportsman/stock, (whatever it's called this season), class it became a whole lot easier to stay home, or find another track. The Thomson's don't understand that, and I don't think they ever will. They listen to their customers even less than Gary did, and I didn't think that was possible. The headline divisions have been one groove for years, so it was the sportsman that put on a race, now, not so much. That's why I criticize crates so much. They're fine as filler, but take away a racy division to make it crate and you're diminishing the racing.

ppms is heading in the same direction this year. going to be another 604 sportman class in time.

I'd like to see ppms run every crate class every saturday night all summer.

It would be good for them and every other track in the area.

Are you kidding me? Have you seen the crowd at ppms on a regular night? There's more people lined up in the men's room to take a piss during a riverhounds game. is a back gate track. That's why they have all these Rush divisions just about every single night there. They're getting smarter with bringing in the division's were they pay very little and still charge 35 to $40 at the back gate. Might be the only track around here going to turn a nice profit this year.

And have PPMS's sister track run every crate class on Friday nights.

So we're saying that no fans, no eyes on sponsors, (therefore no sponsors), no passing (unless you spent twice as much as the rest of the field on motor extras and chasis), no concessions and merch sales, is a sustainable business model for a racetrack? Yeah, some of these guys will spend anything to turn laps, but some of them have huge egos and want lots of people to see them win, so they'll be gone too.

I get it you don't like crates but your statement that there is no passing is simply not true. We know you are upset about the stocks at Lernerville but its not like the stands were packed when they race. The last time I was at Lernerville, 75% of the crowd was long gone before their feature took the green.

The only time I have seen a decent crowd for the Pure Stock feature is when all the other divisions have no cautions and it is before 10 that the race is on the track. Friday is a work day for most people and I'm sure they go straight from work to the track and would like to get home at a reasonable hour of the night.

It's agreed that people leave after the big 3 get to run there features. The sportsman guys always get the worst track conditions, because by the time they go out the track is dead. I have seen some of the best racing in that class before they were turned into a throttle down don't make a mistake follow the leader joke. 3 yrs ago many stayed. Today not so much. Why they have never been high lighted to be allowed to run first feature is beyond me. You have 8 trouble free heat races you could bump the big 3 back and let them get on a good surface. Run the late models last, there going to probably have the fewest cars anyhow.

They tried it. The "hostages" had meltdowns and held their breath until they turned blue.

Besides, one of the things that made them so racy was that no one had grip.

Hmmmm, then maybe you missed the post that I pointed out that it's not a blind hatred for crates, but the way competitive racing gets eliminated to make way for what amounts to an overgrown slot car race. I don't consider Joey Zambotti, Corey McPhereson and Tyler Deitz blowing by Jake Deitz when the green flag drops, then falling into the one line each one of them is setup to run, as passing.

Maybe run  highest car count first and lowest car count last?

Wouldn't that be right with the backgate charge to racers now being more important then what fans pay?

Crates should always run first because they bring in the most money to the tracks along with a support staff again adding to track profits.

You can not blame the Crate Zcars!
They are very smart intelligent business people who saw that America was supposed to end on November 8 2016 !
And the rest was following America into the ash heap under the guidance of Bill and Hillary Caligula! ... just like Rome ( THE ONLY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE REPUBLIC in History !!!!!!!)
Socialized Racing using Government Motors was but a mere landslide ( 312 electoral votes to 214 ? ) Away living the dream of the BERNIE way !

Ps
The only other Representative Republic until they convinced their “ Stupid” Voters to convert to a Democracy
And then it was over !
History always repeats itself and it was that close
Trump 3600 counties
Hitlery 400 .... It was that close !,,,,,,,

The crowd at PPMS was no better the last several years when the Late Models were headlining the show.
