June 10, 2019 (Sandy Lake, PA) The 2nd Annual Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals event is less than one week away.  June 14th and 15th, the Penn Ohio Pro Stocks and the Econo Mods will invade Sharon Speedway to compete for the largest purse in their 2019 season.

Friday’s festivities will kick off with pre-tech, pill draw with cut-off at 8 p.m., an open practice session starting at 7 p.m., and group qualifying after the practice session for both divisions.  Fans can enjoy watching Friday’s event in the grandstands at no admission cost.  Everyone is welcome to enjoy a bon-fire and DJ Brian Kelly Productions after Friday’s portion of racing.  Camping is free at the speedway and accessible after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12th.  Area lodging is available at the Best Western Inn & Suites in Hubbard, Ohio at discounted rates to those mentioning Sharon Speedway.

Saturday, the speedway will serve breakfast from 8-10 a.m. with lunch starting at noon.  Racing action will have Pro Stocks and Econo Mods hitting the track at 7 p.m. for heat races based on Friday’s qualifying finishes with the top four inverted.  Fans will have an opportunity to witness Pro Stock heat race winners draw for dash starting position and the top 12 Econo Mod drivers redraw for A Main starting position under the flag stand.

B Mains will be run for both divisions, giving drivers another opportunity to make the main show.  24 Pro Stock drivers not transferring to the A Main from the heats or B Mains will compete in a 20 lap non-qualifier B Feature paying $1,000 to-win, $125 to start.  The non-qualifier B Feature winner can choose to take the $1,000 prize or advance to the A Main to compete for the $10,000 grand prize.  Fans will not be disappointed as the event’s finale will feature 24 Econo Mods battling 30 laps for $2,000 to-win and 30 Pro Stock drivers enduring 75 green-laps chasing that $10,000 pay day.
