Weekend Roundup – Mother Nature was victorious at Homak POPS powered by Can-Am sanctioning tracks on Friday and Saturday; while, Curtis J. Bish is triumphant over a 22 car field at Tri City on Sunday!  Upcoming: two biggest pro stock events - Saturday, June 5th $5,017 to win 10th Annual Ed Laboon Memorial Homak POPS PSX followed by Friday, June 11th & Saturday, June 12th $10,000 to win 3rd Annual Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals at Sharon Speedway!

 

June 1, 2021 (Sandy Lake, PA) After undesirable weather saturated the tri-state area, the only Penn Ohio sanctioning track to get racing action in over the holiday weekend was Tri City Raceway on Sunday, May 30th.  Curtis J. Bish leads the way in Penn Ohio sanctioning wins with 3 in the 2021 season after parking his Tarr Motorsports owned #29 in victory lane at Sunday’s event.

 

Josh Seippel holds onto the points lead with 826 points after 9 sanctioned races.  Duke Davidson moves into 2nd after racing 8 races, 695 points.  Josh Blum also has 8 races in 3rd with 675 points.  After 7 races, Curtis J. Bish has 658 points in 4th and Brett McDonald has 640 points in 5th.

 

Drivers can still join the Series and race at the sanctioning tracks in hopes of capturing the title, “2021 Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series powered by Can-Am Points Champion”.  Points are updated and can be viewed on the Points portion of the website:  http://www.pennohioprostocks.com/Points.htm.

 

The 10th Annual Ed Laboon Memorial is on the schedule for the first Homak Penn Ohio PSX race, paying $5,017 to-win, $300 to start on June 5th at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.  The only Penn Ohio Series’ points awarded to Series’ members on Saturday, June 5th will be to those participating in the PSX Laboon Memorial race at PMS (regular points plus an additional 25 bonus points.) 

 

The very next weekend will be the 3rd Annual Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals at Sharon Speedway kicking off with practice, qualifying and “King of the Hill” on Friday, June 11th with heats, last chance qualifiers, and features on Saturday, June 12th.  The only Penn Ohio Series’ points awarded to Series’ members on Friday, June 11th or Saturday, June 12th will be to those participating in the SVPSN race at Sharon Speedway (regular points plus an additional 35 bonus points.)
