Atomic cancelled the remainder of the show because the fence got torn down.

The track was rough and it was dusty, but I thought the racing was great. High and low groove (big rut low in turn 3) Let them work on it. the real test will be tomorrow. I think the crate race will be very competitive. Couple of the fastest cars will not be on the front row. No Lux, Lake, Covert,

Covert ran Potomac and with Winchester and Hagerstown running hard for him to go buy tires for one weekend. Hess going to I-77 is the real head scratcher.
I believe the Hess team has sponsor commitments to run Ultimate MOV races as much as possible??

Mark Richards was giving it to the World of Outlaws tonight after the race. He basically said that this place is going downhill ever since it left wrg control with Gary running the program. The track conditions tonight were unsafe and they did nothing at all to prevent it. A lot of other drivers said the same thing. Rick Eckert left. They cut the track open early in the morning to get it all out and then they pounded it all back down in three a little bit of water on top of it. Hopefully Saturday shows a lot better.
Unsafe is a bit extreme. I've seen races on much worse surfaces. Does Richards think that the track has the ability to control the weather? The ground is saturated and soft, there's no way to pack down the Earth when there's that much water in it. The show was great last night. It's not like it was so rough like the Lucas show at Sharon a few years ago that they couldn't race on it.
