I understood their move to Saturday but this year with Hidden Valley, Latrobe and Hesston all reopening this year really put a strain on their car counts. If I was promoting I would have considered going back to Fridays. Also, would let Thunder Mountian have the Supers and they steel blocks as the shows they have tried under the "open" steel block rules recently drew well car count wise.

Heard a lot of rumors at the Firecracker.  Probably should wait for the facts.  Very sad if we loose another track.

Special Announcement! (Track Information Update)

To all our great Race Fans, Drivers and Team Owners. Over the last 48 hours, we have been dealing with several issues pertaining to Dog Hollow Speedway. After a recent track inspection through our insurance company, the insurance company has made a decision that until major repairs or replacement of the front stretch wall and catch fence are made no special events will be held. This unfortunately led to the cancellation of the July 3rd and 4th ULMS Speedweeks Hell Tour events. We have been given a provisional permit to race our regular Saturday Night races as long as we make the temporary repairs required. The rest of the inspection went very well and we will always continue to put safety first for our Fans and Drivers.

... Not sure I totally understand to be honest... They can run still run shows they just can't be specials?

So....
The wall and catch fence is safe enough for weekly racing but unsafe for specials?
What exactly am I missing here?
If it's not safe enough for the ULMS late models to race there please explain how it's safe for anyone to race there.....

Im not gonna come right out and say it, but I can come up with a guess as to why insurance is a problem for the sanctioned races but not an issue for weekly racing

I'm guessing that the series, ulms, does not carry insurance.

I would guess ULMS is not the issue, as they wouldn't cancel shows at the last minute unless there was a serious issue with a certain track. They race in 3 different states, many in PA, so I'm thinking insurance isn't it...   Who gets a track inspection after the season is half over almost? Seems odd, and unsafe is only unsafe for ULMS SLM's or higher paying purses??  Facebook comments on the subject seem to be "censored", another oddity...

My excavation company actually just got a surprise insurance inspection, they wanted to check in and see the condition of my machines to make sure everything on them/safety equipment was in check and working properly to make sure my employees are safe, kinda the same concept with the track, but I'm not saying that is the issue with them but the inspections do happen..
