I doubt that.  I think it's more like find a nitch, move in and make some profit.

All would be unlikely unless the rest dies off because the removal of racers from established venues causes the established to go out of business.

Might the end goal be to pick up the pieces of broken out of business tracks then selling and mandating both equipment and the place for their customers to use purchased equipment?   Racers are going to spend their money and race what they race and how much they can spend, just depends.

It's been fun writing this morning but it's the day before Christmas and the only thing that's important today and tomorrow is family and celebrating the birth of Christ.

Merry Christmas all from my family to your's.

Ds2, I hope the heck your wrong. They get into kart racing they'll destroy that too. Briggs has a stk class to get started in and they go up from there.

So now they want to start selling kart engines ? What a joke.

I haven't been to a kart track in years. I used to go up to slippery rock on occassion. I can't see father's wanting to get involved. You venture to kart racing more than me so I'll be interested in what your take is on this subject.

The brigs class has died off since the clone craze. Kart counts have fell off alot most paces with slippery rock being the exception around here in western pa. Burris used to be the mandated tire for years around here and now that has pretty much ended. the burris tire was junk if it was not cut,and prepped correctly for the track conditions. We tried hoosier kart tires years back at slippery rock and they were 50/50 at best. maxxis &,vega have the best kart tires if it is a open tire rule. spec. hoosier tire is a joke, just a money maker for the series.

That new Predator class is growing here in central Pa. Most of the tracks are Burris only, which means $500 of prep in the trailer. I think Maxxis are the best tire going but you cant run em around here unless its a big open tire race.

Unless I read it wrong they stated it's going to be mandatory Hoosiers probably at what ever cost they dictate..

With just tires, engine and joining their club I don't see how you could get into it for less then a $1000+

Hopefully the local kart tracks look at PPMS and Lernerville, and don't take the bait.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Yeah, why would a kart track want to be open for 50+ consecutive years like Lernerville. Great point Jim!

Lernerville is spitting the bait and the hook out, well most of it anyway.
