I think the fact that it was written by Chuck and published in AARN lends some credibility. A buddy told me about it, and if I remember right, he said that Savino, et. al. were buying MCS. Dan Savino was hamstrung by a lease with DHS. If it is true he is buying Marion Center, then he is free to run it without a lease wrapped around his neck. If it's all true we'll find out moving forward if he can save a great little race track. I hope it is true.

The surface has needed clay on it for many years as it was down to the stone base many places in the turns.
Hope it's a go! Some of the best racing I ever seen was up on that hill!

Who didn't see that coming...... At least he is only out some gas and weedeater line. He at least was smart enough not to sink a pile of money into improvements before it was a done deal.

Now, what about Dog Hollow? Does Savino go back and try to cut a deal with Paul Michny or, will someone else try to open it? My guess is nothing will happen with it this season.

Could be both Marion Center and Dog Hollow are DOA for the 2020 season!!! I would not surprise me if that happens!!!

Talk about getting the cart before the horse. Don't create all of this buzz and get people excited without signing a contract and making it a done deal. However, this is the same guy that couldn't even pay out the purses and owed drivers money.
Supposedly, rumor is, someone else stepped forward. We will see.
Hate to see both tracks not operating.

Yes sir. I had heard that years ago a former big name local SLM driver wanted to buy it, but old man Potts wanted to keep the concessions. Then another more recent SLM driver wanted it but nothing ever came of it. Now, these are just pit side rumors I've heard, but it sounds like dealing with the Potts family is similar to dealing with the Colwell's if there is any truth to these stories. Was told it is being purchased by a guy that is local to the track.
With the Potts history of backing out of deals I'll believe it when I see the deed transfer from the Indiana County Court House listed in the area news papers.
