The ULMS Super Late Models are at the Bedford Speedway for Summer Fest this evening, with the A-Main paying $4K to win.  Twenty (20 Super Late Models were on hand for the big money, and the winner was Maryland driver, and second-place starter, Matt Sponaugle.  Judging by starting positions and finishing positions, it looks like there was very little passing during the 40-lapper.

I found it interesting that four (Wyatt and David Scott,Eck and Chub) out of the top 5 in ULMS POINTS and five (Pegher) out of the top 10 did not go to Bedford, but went to Thunder Mountain instead!

I'm guessing $5k VS $4k to win, quite a few less miles traveled and quite a few less gallons of diesel made it easier to stay closer to home.
Plus they all run good at Thunder Mountain.
I'd say it was a very wise decision for Chub and the others mentioned.

Points all well taken but it appears Max is the only one interested in the title. At that point, what does the championship mean and what's it worth? JUST A THOUGHT...
