He tried to pass Pegher in the heat, slid up in front of Pegher but didn't have him cleared and spun off of Pegher's left front. Then under caution he drove into the side of Pegher a couple of times. They warned him to knock it off then after the heat was over he pulled up behind Pegher and lifted his rear tires off the ground and that was it for him.

Yes that's a bit harsh if he's done for the year but why run in to a guy under caution? I get being mad about a racing incident but have a little bit of self control.

This is continuation of an incident with King in the other 48 car putting Pegher in the marbles in 4 and Pegher retaliating under caution. Now the 48 team has moved from dirty to just plain headhunting. The sooner King, Flinner and "Uncle John" are invited to stay gone the better for the racing.

My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

Funny how I got thrown out for life for yelling at someone in the pits but these guys are smashing into each other on the track, under caution, with workers on the track, going off the pit exit and fighting in the pits and in the stands. Double standard?!? Yeah Im finally speaking out about this on here. Something needs to be changed with that place. The punishments dont fit the crimes.

Wrecking each other on the track is more exciting to the "I'm just here for the wrecks" crowd, than yelling at someone in the pits. I'm a fan of the racing so I'd rather lose the guys wrecking people, but I'm probably not in the majority.

A rivalry does spice things up for the fans but, I'd hate to see someone else's equipment tore up because of a war between two or three drivers. Colton was probably warned over the Raceiver after he doored Pegher a couple of times. The contact going in to the pits was the last straw.

There is no question about the political nature of the place. The owners got rid of one problem, it seems as if they still have some work to do.

I will admit that riveries Between drivers every week does keep me and others coming back instead of skipping a week or 2.

Well, guess the rivalry is going to have to wait a few weeks. Mr Flinner got himself and his car suspended from Lernerville for 3 weeks. Must be a family problem. His uncle obviously always was a danger on the track, now he's starting to follow along. Heck, even his brother in law is hitting people under caution too when he can't pass them clean!

The way i read it from Don Gamble, the whole team is suspended, so even the car cant be there.

So what is going to stock somebody else from putting 48 on their car running points for him?

This isn't NASCRAP with owner points...  They need to get into the 21st century, and the DRIVER get the points...  I do not know of too many tracks doing it this way anymore... Owners don't wheel the cars, and win championships.   Drivers do...  Would help with tempers I would think...  JMO

If you go way back in early area racing history you would find that back in the NASCAR and MARC days of the early 1950s the driver ALWAYS got the points regardless of what car he drove!!!  Usually they also kept car owner points, but such was seldom made public.  I think it was PRA at Heidelberg that began the change over to tracks giving the points to the car and  with that came being able to put another driver in the car and keep the points.  Back around 1966-68 Ohio driver Harold Smith won the PRA points, but he only drove the car about half the season. The #4 car was already in the top five when he took it over.   I grew up with the points going to the driver and still favor that method!!!!    And nothing to do with the "21st Century"!!

GOOD RACING TO ALL!!

Walt
