The FASTRAK Racing Series powered by Chevrolet Performance is set to return to the Bluegrass State for the 3rd Annual Damn Yankees 50 paying $5,000 to win on September 26 at Richmond Raceway. The 50-lap feature will pay $300 to start. An open practice will be held for all divisions on Friday, September 25. Boasting a purse of over $18,000, the Damn Yankees 50 has become the richest Pro Late Model Race each season in the state of Kentucky. Previous winners of the event are Todd Coffman in 2019 and Zack Dohm in 2018.
As in previous years, FASTRAK will be implementing a different tire rule for the Damn Yankees 50, allowing any Hooiser “crate spec” tire to compete, and allowing grooving and siping.
The 3rd Annual Damn Yankees 50 will kick off FASTRAK’s “Breast Cancer Awareness” month. The full schedule for the month of October will be released in the coming days. Drivers who attend all races with a “Breast Cancer Awareness” wrap will be eligible for a “Best Appearing Car” award, with details to be announced.
