Ds2,  Have you not just entered the pan-hard bar into the equation?

First thought tells me to answer yes.

But second thoughts cause me to ask the question of does a pan-hard bar work to lift the left side or to hold the right side down or vice versa?

I dream of having a pan-hard bar between the right front and the left rear.  :)

I don't think he ever did it but Dave Blaney once told me his thoughts when I offered the idea of a rf/lr pan-hard bar to him, about having a connected effectively a pan-hard bar between the rf/lr with a gear box in between.

How's that for him thinking outside of the box?

edit:  And now after what 3link offered i'll say no to the pan-hard bar, but I'm not sure it's the correct answer.

If you have to add weight anyway, how about having a heavy pendulum to help mechanically operate the chassis via lateral acceleration.  :)

I was at thunder mountain last night and asked around about this situation and discovered more teams are transporting their cars with solid rods in place of the shocks they're smashing all the time any way and the shocks are ready to be worked on when they get to the track.....plus they're not riding on the shocks in the trailer......might not be true for all teams ...it's just conversations I had....

" teams are transporting their cars with solid rods in place of the shocks"

low budget racing ...  done it for over 15 years

its one of the first things done before putting car in trailer

no way you want to use and wear out shocks on the way to and from the track

especially on an open not at all bouncy cheap home made trailer
