I'm hoping the new GM is more receptive to the customers and drivers. He seems to be. That said, I can understand your skepticism, and you know I think you got a raw deal.
Actually the new GM is awful and out of touch. It's absolutely gone to hell.

Mike is a good guy and has an extensive background in racing. I think hes a good fit and if hes given the freedom to do what I know he can things will improve there. I do appreciate your understanding and support of me and my team over the years. I know my faults and I can accept them as a man should but sometimes being real, honest and passionate is not accepted well. Especially if it rocks the boat a bit. I will not just bow down and be a sheep who follows just to make anyone happy. Im honest, open and emotionally invested in racing and also in my personal life. Its what makes me who I am and as I said some people cant accept that. No skin off my back.I'm hoping the new GM is more receptive to the customers and drivers. He seems to be. That said, I can understand your skepticism, and you know I think you got a raw deal.

I honestly thought the child like pettiness would disappear once Father Tim was out of there, but apparently not. Owners of any business that think they have all the answers and turn away suggestions and tune out criticism are arrogant and short sighted.

1. Never seen the guy in the pits to greet you, ask you how you are doing, and thank you for coming to support his track. It's little things like this that go a long way.Name 3 reasons why the new GM is awful then I will take you serious. I will wait!

2. Doesn't have the mentality that the racer puts on his show. The old GM thanked us all by giving us general admission tickets that were eligible for discounts towards your pit pass. Coincidentally the courtesy tickets given to you as a thank you for putting on their mall car show are no longer eligible for discounts towards pit admissions and this was not disclosed. Might not be a big deal to some people, but for racers who do this as a hobby who have no sponsors it's a complete slap in the face.
3. Where's the attempt to bring in new sponsorship money to up the purse in each division? The last GM made some good deals towards putting more money in the racers pocket.
There's your 3 reasons hot shot....

Lol right. Stands were packed last year because it was one of the few things you could do. No I'm not going to bow down and thank lernerville just for opening their gates every weekend and I'm not just going to be "thankful" there's a place to take a car to race. That's like saying you should be thankful for the only restaurant in your town that is open even though they serve you dog sh!t on a platter....Last time we were there for the Sprint car tour he was at the drivers meeting thanking all of us.
I guess you forgot last year was the year of covid. Do you seriously think businesses are flourishing right now to give out what little they have left to stay afloat??
You should be thankful the place is open as you know last year they probly did not make very much money.

Comparing the show at Lernerville to dog sh!t is a rather weak analogy. They still have one of the best weekly racing programs around, and don't tell me I need to get out more, because I've been to race tracks all over the country for many years now. You obviously have a bone to pick with them, perhaps justified, but lt seems to have tainted your opinion of the place. You don't like it, don't go. Many or us will still be there almost every Friday.

Re-read the posts dude, it has nothing to do with the weekly racing program you witness while sitting in the grandstand every week. The problem is if you have an issue with something and attempt to bring it to their attention then you become the problem. And yes, if I don't like it then I don't have to go, and I won't. It's also my right to bitch about it whenever I want, so if you don't like what I have to say then no one is twisting your arm to read it.
You can bitch all you want, but when you post in a public forum, whatever you say is fair game to be commented on.

FWIW, he isn't the only driver to have made the same complaint. He is one of many. You can criticize his use of hyperbole, it's fair game. Fact is, without getting in to specifics, Lernerville's staff from top to bottom could use some lessons on how to deal with people.

I didn't mean to be critical of what he said about management, because not being a driver myself, I'm not exposed to any shenanigans which might be going on, (although I have heard things too) and certainly would not dispute his account of how he was treated by the powers that be at the track. But he did slam the product a bit, and that's what I took issue with. Of course, just because I like the racing at Lernerville doesn't mean everyone else has to. His hyperbole went a step too far.

All I think that matters is if it's a fun or interesting show to watch, same as TV, a concert, play or any other show.
IMHO, Lernerville is a fun and usually exciting show.
That's really all that's needed for success of any visual entertainment venue.

To slam the GM who is 6 races into his full time gig kinda stupid. Im pretty sure he had a hand in the 2 higher paying shows for the fab 4, which wasnt well supported by the racers other than the sprints for speedweek. Some staff are rude. Last year, i got scolded for asking about dollar food at the end of the night. Overall theyre doing ok, absolutely could be better. But im just a fan

There's a lot of truth here. Most of the fans aren't even aware of the dynamics between management and race teams, nor do they care. They are interested on seeing a quality show, and are happy if the beer is cold. Nothing wrong with that.

I suppose you didn't reread through everything, fair enough, I don't care. I took issue with personal and management and not with your precious fab 4 show that you sit and watch every Friday night. I said it once and I'll say it again, I will not be grateful just that there is a track open to take a car even if they treat you like sh!t. It's no different than someone telling you to be grateful that you can dine at the only restaurant in town even if they serve you dog sh!t. Last I checked, I don't go back to an establishment after being blatantly screwed over and this is after giving the place the benefit of the doubt and multiple chances. You can sit up in the stands and scold me all you want for what I've said, but you can never begin to understand where I'm coming from until you are on the other side of the fence.
