It's these kind of bullshit calls that can get someone killed. What if that car went up in flames with the driver trapped inside of it and the fire crew couldn't get there due to cars circling the track. A lot of people at Lernerville need to get their heads out of their asses before a driver gets hurt or killed. Did everyone forget about the incident involving Brian Stienman? I believe that was his name, went by "Cowboy"
If you are crying about Lernerville's safety, you are really grasping. After the Charlie Holben fire they worked with Buffalo Twp to get the UTV pumper. After that rash of wall hits in turn 4 they cushioned the wall. Even under the Tomson's Lernerville is a model in making positive safety changes. I can't think of a single track in the area that puts the money and effort into safety that Lernerville does. Yes, there's still human error. They miss a call sometimes.
BTW, doesn't the WoO provide their own race director?
My dad drove late models in the early 70's at North Hills, Butler, Mercer, Blanket Hill, and occasionally Tri City. We won the last late model track championship at Blanket Hill.

The call to leave the yellow displayed might have been the WoO officials. Cowboy's accident was a tragedy. I'm no fan of the Tomson's, but you're letting your hate of them cloud your better judgement. Besides, WRG owned the track when Brian Steinman was injured, not the Tomson's. In any case, the safety crews did all they could and saved the young man's life.
