The fish sammich has doubled in price and is half the size it used to be when growing up there. Crazy.  $4 boiled hot dog is even more crazier. I dont have many gripes for Lernerville except concession prices and the bathro

Im just here to say I agree with the fish sandwich comment. That was my go to many years at LV. The last couple years its been terrible. Eric, if youre going to fix anything get a new fish sandwich vendor

Right on, brother. I gladly paid whatever price it was because it was that good. Now, to be blunt, it sucks. If you are going to charge, 6-7-8$, whatever it is, at least give your fans a quality product.

When I come up, I stop at sheetz. Get a good hoagie, chips and a drink. I head to the track have my hoagie then head for a seat. There concession prices and quality of food has fallen below what I'm willing to accept and pay for. If you don't want sheetz you can stop at the get go.

Paid the now $15 to get in and bought a $5 beer to drink with the brisket.

Beer was good and cold and the racing was again great racing and fun to watch.

Best BBQ brisket so far has been Outlaw BBQ in Erie, followed by Smoke BBQ in Painesville about a mile from the track and third is again Zoo BBQ in Erie but they may sell out before you get there.

Outlaw BBQ in Erie also gave me a sample of their smoked turkey and it was really good.

Most looking forward to trying Tailgaters BBQ in Jamestown NY when I get to Stateline this year.

Read on the menu they have beef ribs.

Again great racing at Lernerville and I enjoyed my time there which is what it's all about anyway..

I rarely buy food at racetracks anymore, just no bang for your buck, at most of them (not all of course).  I love Lernerville but $4 for a bottle of water or Gatorade has caused me to bring my own drinks.  I have no problem with the racetrack making money to stay in business, but I won't pay those prices on principle

@ dirstudent2, I have eaten pulled pork at the Smoking Toad several times and never had a problem with it, haven't had the brisket though.

Off to watch supers today at Lorain and try some brisket at Moosehead bbq.

I don't expect anything special because it's got a very long menu but hope to be surprised with the brisket.

I'm finding the good places when you order ask if you want moist(fatty) or dry.

Also even if they have just one their prized sauce they appreciate it if after a sample you explain to them their Brisket does not need sauce.

Today i'd rather drive 1.5 to watch some so so supers then 2.5 to Stateline.

So far it's been fun this year trying brisket at different bbq places near tracks.
