Finally able to provide some updates on the 12th annual Ed Laboon Memorial, scheduled for Saturday, June 10th at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. Horhut Inc. will again be the presenting sponsor of the race, allowing us to again pay at least $3,017 to win, $300 to start with no entry fees! We are also supported by Dobs Automotive for the popular non-qualifiers race, which will be at least $317 to win and $100 to start. I want to also mention our Platinum sponsors, who are critical to the continuation of the race: West Mifflin Collision, Jacob Billyk Towing & Service, and R&R Enterprise Auto Sales, Garage & Graphics. Please support these businesses. The full sponsor list will be published soon as I still have a lot of work to do!

Please remember we will also be paying $199 in memory of Matt Miley for the contingency awards: Fast time Hoods Up Quick Lube, Fast Dash Jerry Rents Toilets, Hard Charger John Hollister Hauling LLC, and Outsider/rookie of the race Real Nutz Inc vodka!

Championship belt and Dobs trophy compliments of Gary Smith.
Winners check compliments of Animal Graphics & Signs
Event t-shirts to be designed by Back Road Boutique LLC
Fireworks compliments of me!
Race to be streamed live on The Cushion

If you would like to get involved, message me on here or call/text 412-396-9138. I can customize any sponsorship package based on your budget. Thanks for the support!

Very excited to formally announce the details of the 12th annual Ed Laboon Memorial at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway presented by Horhut Inc., flagged by All Ways Safe Flagging and Traffic Control and fired by Fuel Required. $4,017 to win, $400 to start, $199 contingency awards in memory of Matt Miley and $100 to win each heat in loving memory of Stephen W. Johnson. There was also extra money added to the top 5 in Stephens memory, resulting in the top 5 positions paying at least $1,000 to finish!

We will also have the ever popular Dobs Automotive non-qualifiers race, $417 to win, $150 to start, $100 tow. No entry fees! And over $22,000 in payout. Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series rules, open tire. 30 laps.

Thanks for everyone who got involved with this race, it is the highest payout in the 12 year history of the event. Id really appreciate everyone sharing this post, telling a friend, tag your favorite driver, or tell your favorite driver in person for those non social media types! In order to keep the sponsors happy I need to keep the car counts as high as possible in difficult times. As long as the support is there we will keep this alive!

Let me know if youd like to get involved, there is still time!

I heard the track was dusty and horrible this Saturday and they never start on time down there any more. What's up with that?

100% it was dusty during hot laps and qualifying. Delayed the show about an hour to water it and run it in once the sun went down behind the trees in 1 and 2. Its a thing theyve been doing during hot or dry stretches for the last couple years. Is it ideal- no - but it gives good results for the rest of the night. No intermission and next features immediately role out. 7 divisions still done by 12:05.
