#446308 I see a tough road ahead for Mercer this year

Thanks for the comments DonKing26Zfan Mercer has always been a favorite track for me the shape of it lends to great racing and is a real drivers track it takes awhile to get used to the turn 4 configuration. I have seen some great races there I like the family atmosphere in 2018 we had to go to Sharon it's a com[pletely different atmosphere there I much preferred Sharon when Chutz's ran the big half mile on Friday nights over the new three eights track on Saturdays.

94.3 RADRACER That's exactly what Tri City used to be before they built the half mile it was really high banked and a fourth mile.

Didn't mean for anyone to get their racing suit in a bind or to fire anyone up I don't go in the pits anymore so I imagine it goes on a lot maybe behind me I usually sit down low near turn 4 and just haven't seen it haven't been to a drivers meeting in years so I just thought I would bring it up to get some comments next time I will keep it to myself and ask some of my racing buddies not post it here.

#406410 Lernerville Sold

Posted by lm/0/12/71/72 on 10 May 2015 - 09:00 PM

You guys are right about Don having the lease. He bought it from someone I know that told me he knew nothing about running a race track but ended up taking the lease from the former lease holders who owed him money. He was hoping to recoup some of his losses. Don wanted to buy it out and close it down and eliminate the close Friday night competition ,so he sold it and we had to race at Lernerville if we wanted to continue racing on Fridays , the rest is history.

#397657 Jim Fosnaught at Lernerville

Sounds like Jim had Lernerville figured out this year. Congratulations. You beat some stiff competition in Sat. nights field. Hope to see you at the LIttle Guys at Mercer. Wasn't there another Fosnaught that ran a 19J street stock? I can't remember his name but I think they were brothers.

Thanks Walt for the work you do , it's good to see that you still want to keep doing this every year. Walt where does Nate Smith run I am not familiar with him? I have been to every Little Guy Nationals but one and I don't remember seeing him at MRP , thanks again for all you do for the racing community.

#393092 Great night of Racing at Mercer Raceway Park!

Thanks Dingo for all you do to keep the vintage cars alive , it does an older race fan a lot of good to see the type of  cars I used to work on and watch race. It has been awhile since I have seen them at Mercer I hope you can be there again in the near future. I started going to the races over 50 years ago and I like seeing a group that keeps those memories alive. Are they similar to what you raced down under ? Thanks again to you and your racing  group .
