#443410 Latrobe Results

They said the winner of the Pure Stock feature (00 Stehle)  had a crate motor.   Doesn't that make him a Pro stock??  What is the difference.

depends on the Crate engine. I believe the 604 is legal to run with the Pro-Stocks, the 602 for the Pure Stocks.

Are the motor rules for the late models unlimited and basically what your saying is any body will be legal from stock appearing up to outlaw late model bodies?

it says "template bodies," so I would guess that the Main Event style bodies would be excluded, but I would contact the Speedway for clarification.

#420538 PMS bleachers being torn down

pabandit-You say a kid fell thru the bleachers at Lernerville??  I was there and the 'KID' weighed over 500 pounds!!!
Hell of a kid!

Then there was more than one incident. The one I witnessed, was definitely a kid, and nowhere near 500 lbs!

Speaking of bleachers, I recently seen Lernerville was replacing the boards on their bleachers. What are you guys going to bitch about now?

Considering that a kid fell through one of those planks last summer, that's just smart, preventive maintenance.

#420240 What's up with Lake Erie and Central Pa?

Closest thing to an official statement that I've found, was Dave Wheeler's FB post on the 14th, but admittedly nothing from Melfi, or the Mileys on the tracks status this year. I won't be holding my breath that we'll get one!

Has there been an announcement on Motordrome not operating for the 2016 season??  From all I have heard, I doubted very much the track would open this year. However, this it the first I have heard that it wouldn't open!!  Their website has been down for several months and I have never gotten any press releases since this Melfi guy took over!!     Unless the new owners at Jennerstown can pull some rabbits out of their hat, I think pavement racing is all but done in the western PA area!!

Yep..that would help get the straightaway speed up over about 150mph.  especially on the front stretch.  The place needs shortened....just like Bedford does!  Too Big.....Too Fast....= poor racing!  Thats the problem with Bedford as well!  Too Hard on equipment....thats why guys don't want to race there!  In the Day though, there were the Bedford/Cumberland Hero's!  The guys that raced at those two tracks exclusivley

The only problem i have with Bedford is that blasted pavilion, that blocks the view of most of the backstretch!
