#394958 Fab Four Quick Results 8.1 - Rex King Jr. continues to reign over Diehl Mods

Corey was dq'd because fosnaught is a sore loser and will wreck you if he has the chance and is so far up everyone's ass at lernerville that they decided it was Corey's fault although it clearly wasn't.

C33fan, you are CLEARLY biased and only upset because your favorite driver was penalized for such a bone head move.  Corey has shown for a long time he is a talented driver, but it appeared that he let his "horns" get outside of his helmet going down the back stretch.  He clearly drove full speed underneath the 20J and took out half of the field.  He should have known better than to make that move - it never works and never will with out destroying eqpt.  I would bet that if he had it to do over he would do things differently, and I am sure (at least hoping) that he learned something from the incident.  Lernerville's decision to DQ him was clearly justified.  If he was a far less talented backmarker making that move, officials might not have taken such a hard stance, but Corey is an experienced and talented driver who just made a bad decision that did not work out well for anyone - especially himself because he also moved from 2nd to 3rd in the points.

Up to that point, it was an exciting race to watch, and the Sportsman drivers have clearly shown that 12-15 drivers or more can run 3 and 4 wide lap after lap and keep all the fenders on.  I am amazed at how the talent level in this class has grown over the past few years, and the quality of so many cars being able to run in tight packs and for the most part not cause a bunch of cautions.

The racing was outstanding all night in every division, and I am certainly glad that I was able to be there to enjoy every minute of it.  The Late Model race had me on the edge of my seat for the entire race.  I can't believe how those guys can hang half their car over the top and not fly off the track - amazing!  For those of you who choose to leave before the Sportsman run each week, you are clearly missing watching some talented drivers show their stuff.  It is certainly worth waiting another 20 minutes to see what many times is the best race of the night.

Can't wait for next week to come to see the show.  Hopefully the weather will be excellent for the remaining 3 weeks of the Fab 4 season. :P

that fact is he did pay his money and if wants to pay to just ride around the race track that is his choice. He might be slow but he is still faster than most of you morons that think you know all about racing but yet have never been behind the wheel.

The real problem is everyone knows he is slow but yet some how these drivers that are so supposedly so  talented and fast can't seem to miss a guy that is riding around in the same groove lap after lap.

Four other cars ahead of Bret had no problem passing the guy and there was lots of track below the w1.  Bret McDonald hit the wall in turn three and never lifted of the throttle until he climbed the wall and ripped out 5o feet of catch fence and a light pole well into turn 4 and almost onto the front stretch.  I like Bret I have seem him do well and has improved greatly since he first started but no one to blame here but bret.

As with a whole lot of other racers in all divisions if you keep tearing up race cars maybe the other guy isn't always the problem.

You obviously were not watching the incident as it unfolded.  I was there and watching Brett.  I could see what was probably going to happen going into three as the W1 wanted to take up the whole track and by the middle of the turn pushed Brett up out of the groove into the loose stuff and it was all over from there.  Again, there should be minimum speed rules to make racing safer for everyone.  It is everyone's right to race when they pay the money, but they need to be able to race within a reasonable speed that the class is running.  With the quality of cars that were attending the event, the W1 was clearly nothing more than a moving roadblock.
