Darren went up north to race this weekend. He was in i believe New York racing and he got 2nd place in his heat. The he got in the feature and was doing great... but the track was wet so his wheel go jammed up with mud. So his crew ran down cleared it out and got him back on the track. Once he got going he was flying, running second place and looking great. So his crew headed back to the grandstands to see if he could capture the checkered with a win. Well just as they get to the grandstand they look down and he is just sitting in turn four. No one saw what happened so they figured it just stopped. Because they have had previous engine problems. So they get down to the trailer and Darren is still sitting in his car. So they go over and start looking at the car and he is still sitting in the car. They go "Darren?" and his head is just drooped down hanging there. They go "DARREN??" again and he doesnt respond. So his brother and grabs him and shakes him. He was passed out cold!! They couldn't figure out why. He didn't flip or anything. Darren pointed at this hole and here to find out a big mud clod came through the car hit him on the head and knocked him out cold!! They called over the ambulance and had them check him out and he was okay. But they still have no idea how the car automatically shut off and stopped in turn four, nobody collided with him, how he didn't keep on going and run into the wall and ball the car up, and how when the push trucks pushed him back to the trailer the car didnt hit anything cuz he was passed out! WOW!!! Thank goodness for guardian angels is all i've gotta say!! That could have been bad... But there back on track and headed for canada tonight i believe... WOW!!
