yes amp started with the same rules package that was supposed to be ENFORCED but never was! the pure stocks are way out of control as is the fwds.unless there are clear rules and they are STRICKTLY enforced racers will always find"loopholes" in them.714D, Last year we started with the same rules package as The Bird.The first 4 races we were only getting 5 cars.They were thinking of dropping the class but decided to go with Sportsmans rules and we then averaged 16 cars.The reason the semi late class was started was because of the rules that were already out of hand in the pure stock class.The new semi late class is cheaper to put a car together than a pure stock.The management at AMP will not argue that the pure stocks are out of hand but racing 4 or 5 cars is not what the fans want to see.I hope I explained it well enough.
