SOD

SOD is a definite go for tomorrow night. (Fri. 5-19-11) Spoke to the track at 5pm today and everything is good and gates open at 4 and practice at 7pm with heats starting around 8pm. It's not to bad a trip from the Lima area approx. 3hrs. Would like to msee some Limaland guys make the trip being Lima has cancelled. Hartford is a 1/2 mile banked really fast track. This also is the track where the "King of Michigan" 360 show will be run in September and tomorrow night could be a good test for that big paying event in the fall. Sod is racing at I-96 tomorrow night in Lake Odessa, Mi. Would be nice to see some Limaland regulars make the trip to join the SOD regulars for an exciting night on the 1/2 mile.

I know everyone is chomping at the bit to get racing. The SOD race at Crystal is Drfinitely a go. Just spoke to the SOD director and track promoter and the sun is shining in Central Michigan with only a 20 percent chance of any rain for the weekend. Will be a little windy tomorrow but "no moisture" in the air. The track will be tacky and fast. Would love to see some Limaland and NRA Regulars show up to get things going for the 2011 season. Crystal is about an hour northwest of Lansing which would be about a 3 1/2 hour trip from the Lima area. It is a regular show and pays 1200 to win and 250 to start the "A" with $100 show up $$.
