Thanks for the information but I would like to know if I go Racesaver and race out of the series let say 3 times and pay 100 bucks will the tech guy be able to tell me if something might be coming apart in motor? Guys say they pull oil filters every week to check if something might be coming apart. 100 bucks is cheap if saves me a motor. Iam I wrong in thinking that way?My motor was built to racesaver spec, Brodix heads, 48 lbs crank etc... But it wasn't sealed racesaver. I tried to get my motor sealed racesaver at one time and French gave me and the tech guy ( basically told the tech guy not to tech my motor) a hard time due to a previous situation between French and I.
In no way am I trying to bash what French has developed this into, but if he has a hard on for you, you will know it cause he will try to screw you in any way. His whole engine program/concept is a great idea just not any of his B.S. rules.
The way I see it if you live closer to a racesaver track go racesaver if you live closer to a OSW track go race OSW.

Thats great you won 1200 in a 305. Now it would cost you 100 to go back to Racesaver right? Now for 100 will the tech guy check your motor out to see if anything going bad in motor? They tear it apart right? If you have a "racesaver" sealed motor You are NOT allowed to race any race other than a racesaver race! That means no 410's, 360's NOTHING He doesnt allow it! French was at Precise Racing Products promoting his deal and the question was asked if someone say running Mercer had motor failure in there "410" could they run there "305" with the "410's, He said absolutly NO!. Only racesaver sanctioned "305" races!
The racesaver's from the southern states were invited to race the shows in Georgia and from what I heard French Called the "group" and advissed them not to race or it would cost them to be tore down and possibly by suspended from racesaver.
Now I'm not cutting up racesaver by no means. I think he has a great engine rules package and he doesn't change any of the rules. He needs to lighten up on letting guys run there own equipment whenever and wherever they want. And if a track wants to pay $10,000 to win and $100 to start well thats up to the tracks to pay what they want.
I raced the 2 day race in georgia and had a great time. We raced Olgothorpe speedway which is about a 5/8 mile track and Swainsboro speedway which is about a 3/8 mile track. Even won at Swainsboro paying $1200.
The way I see it. You shouldn't be told when and where you can race if you own all of your equipment. If I was to build another 305, I would build it to racesaver spec. The only reason I say that is that there rule is a 48 lbs crank. And if you were to sell it any racesaver/osw person would buy it. OSW rule is a 46 lbs crank. Everything else is identical.
I raced my 305 OSW at Mercer for 2 years and really enjoyed it. And they NEVER told me when and where I could race my car!

Please fill in the history for me for facts not a fight please. 5.3s started at Sharon then came to Mercer? When was 305s added or did they run with them all the time? Didnt someone try and start Racesaver a couple years ago up there and what happened? Again just trying to understand and get the facts. Thank you. What has Racesaver done to encourage cooperation between the two groups of limited sprints in western Pa? Nothing. The OSW guys have invited Racesaver to race with them and even have gone so far as to honor their sealed engine. It doesn't work that way in reverse. In fact the Racesaver teams who would race outside Racesaver gets suspended until their car is etched again. Never mind the fact that seals were never tampered with.
For record I have a friend who at one time went to Clinton County with his Racesaver car to run with their 410 sprints. There was no Racesaver race that night. At the next Racesaver show we bought pit passes, unloaded the car, and later pushed the car up for hot laps only to be told we could not compete that night. The engine needed to be reteched first. Oh and by the way you won't get your pit passes refunded either. So if a guy from this area pulled it off, good for him, Racesaver doesnot allow you to race anywhere without a new tech inspection.
