I can't believe that this happened. PPMS had a golden opportunity to steal a large number of cars away from the Fastrak Touring series this weekend and then they go and add $500-$600 of expense for these guys. People that I'm sure would have supported PPMS like Martin, Satterlee, Holtgraver, will have an awful time trying to justify the added expense when they can just go race with the tour. It's a shame that they were going to finally have a race that payed well and time-trialed and now it is being ruined by $75 entry fee, $75 pit pass, and $600 worth of tires to compete.
The Fastrak Northeast is sitting back and licking their chops... cause Miley is basically promoting their race for them. It's truly a shame.

Just saw these videos on YouTube and knew that there would be a post on here about it... I wasn't disappointed.
This is ridiculous!! I can not believe that this is actually going to be allowed to happen. If Marion Center lets this kid race next year against those steel block guys it's going to be a disaster. I'm sure the Fastrak Northeast will let him in their "Kiddy Cup" races also.
After a little more research I have learned that during one of the AMAZING 9-YEAR OLD's practice sessions HE TOTALED .... TOTALED that car in the video. Which was a 2004 Rocket bought off of Matt Gaston.
They have since purchased a new Late Model from Mike Blose to let him run.
While I agree with a number of posts on here about him getting hurt and what not.. I can't help but focusing more on what is going to happen when somebody "rubs / wrecks" this kid?
Earlier in the year Bobby Lake's "little guy" was turned by Troy Shields @ Roaring Knob... Bobby Lake almost had a stroke while unleashing on Mr. Shields as he was throwing rocks and raising hell in the pits.
I can only imagine what will happen when this kid costs somebody a race by driving 2-3-4-5 seconds off the pace. While I'm somewhat on the fence about how young you can be in a racecar... I KNOW that 9 years old is FAR AND AWAY TOO YOUNG to be driving a crate late model.
People make the mistake of thinking that Crate Racing is a "Beginners" class. There are people who take this crate deal VERY SERIOUS and sink a lot of money into their cars. Throwing a 9/10 year old out there in the mix is a BIG MISTAKE.

We support races that pay more and are willing to give teams a REAL EQUAL CHANCE at winning... I have no problem with raising the pit price and having an entry fee (seems pretty standard of all big events). Especially if you are going to time trial and pay out more to the top 10.
Where I have a problem is penalizing teams that work hard to be fast and spend countless hours making their stuff right by pill drawing or redrawing half the field every night. Last time I checked... everybody has an equal opportunity to be fast. So why not make you earn your starting spot and finishing spot rather than have it come down to luck of the draw.
This is a good thing you guys are doing Mr. Miley.. I will support it all day long.

Last year the top 6 qualifiers who transferred through the heat race I believe were locked into the top 6 starting spots for the feature. Wouldn't something like that make sense this year? Or do something like redraw the heat winners.. Then redraw the 2nd place heat finishers? Rather than have a guy quick time.. win his heat... then have to start 12th? Not trying to ruffle feathers... just trying to make it fair for once to the guys who work hard to be fast and then get penalized for it. These guys get shafted all year long on the Fastrak Northeast "Touring Series" by having to pill draw and redraw 12 every night.
