Someone texted me, and said too read this. So Ill share the link and see if anyone else can understand what the end game is at this place.

How about a full racing slate?

Thank god Hill Valley Speedway is opening back up for guys in that area too go to that you pushed away.

I called and I have spoke to Mr Eriksen and being a small business man myself I do understand that Hesston Speedway is offering the opportunity for other small business people to own "stock/shares/piece of the business corporation". Eriksen said each Share holders will become board members of the speedway and would work side by side in the operation of the speedway and share the duty's of operating the Speedway, Eriksen said you cannot just sell shares to anyone , he said these people need business background but they also need racing background as-well, and must be willing to work and help in bring the speedway to the next level, Eriksen said I still have things to do at the speedway, and health issues have slowed me down, and health issues is why the 2013 is limited to 6 events, finding people to do long hours on the weekends is very hard, Eriksen said for every race event it adds 40 hours or more to my work week, Eriksen said in 2012 I tried to do 12 events with radiation and chemo I was forced to cancel some of the events, These new Share holders will be part owners, these people will share the load in the event I need to continue treatments,,
After talking to this man for one hour or more, I can see this guy is looking long term into the future something most people are not able to do...

Its just promoted and run so poorly, that itll have a hard time keeping its head over water, until a change is made.

Hesston had 40 cars at their last event in each class , seems the PR man has done a good job at this,,, was at the outlaw shows at dog hollow in 2011 and at Selinsgrove outlaw event that rained out 2012 and none of these tracks had the car count Hesston has been getting,, looks like you do not have your fact right again and are just bashing one of the tracks trying different things to get people and cars to their track

No question you are a person who likes to bash other people, maybe you need go work for this track free of charge and help him out??? or are you a person who just laughs at some one when they fall in the mud instead of holding your hand out to him up???? get facts together instead of rumors also Sounds like you have not been to hesston lately ,,I have seen so of the best racing in the area this year at hesston,, I watched the 17 car come from last to win the super late event, when was the late time you seen this at any track??? tells me this was a great race track ware a fast car can get to the front, I have watch passing all over the track,, most places they do not even try to better the track !!!! just let it one lane racing follow the leader,,I seen a car roll over at winchster because it was so rough, thnder valley and bedford are all follow the leader tracks,, hesston does more to the track then any other place I have been too, I do not know ware you have been but, I for one have enjoyed every trip to the track,, each time I go their is a something new, I have never seen a parking lot that has had white lines painted and has 50 handicap spots painted in blue in front of the main gate, the last race there was 40 cars in each class,, I also know this man has serious health concerns and is still making improvements, I do not think this is a money issue at all, it is my understanding this man did 2 months of radition and 5 months of chemo treats during the 2012 race season, plus continued to make inprovements for each event,,

Lets not forget the real gripe in this all. Hesston operated since the mid 90's weekly, with full fields in non headline classes, drew good fields, and had a fan base that supported it weekly since its inception.
What Eriksens dreams of the place were when he bought it was well intended, and improvements been made are nice but on the whole what was we he really investing in? Its a like a kid who buys an 87 Buick Skylark that runs really good, then invests in big rims and NOS, its cool, but youre still in a Skylark, just a nicer Skylark.

Just the understanding of why was all of this money and effort put forth too fixing it up, if you cant afford too race the place. He took it over, the racing has gone from a whole season dwindling too nothing, the racing surface has gone too hell, walls were installed that stole a complete racing lane from the place. Parking lot is an epic disaster. Just a Classis example of fixing something that wasnt broke. Its went from a daily driver too a street rod that sits in the garage.
